Detailed Reviews
Great little budget hotel next to railway & Bridge over the river Kwai with spacious rooms.
Great location to catch the train (we went on Sunday to Erawan waterfall by chance at 10am)
The journey was fantastic over death railway, well worth the trip just for that as the upper tiers of the waterfall were closed due to covid one of the national park workers told us.
The hotel was a bit dated but spotlessly clean everywhere, warm water and good shower & pressure. Clean towels everyday & bed linen changed after 2 nights!
The bed & pillows were really comfortable too.
Waters & Herbal tea & coffee provided every day but would have been nice to have black teabag in room.
Wi-Fi a bit slow but we knew that before we came however we weren’t here to sit on the iPhone all day😁
Breakfast was nice & hot and you could choose more than 1 menu for each person.
Nice short stay in good location and I would recommend. Plenty of bars/restaurants at other end of the road with cheap taxi fare (under 100THB for a grab taxi)
Nice floating restaurant on the river less than 2 mins walk right by the bridge.
Couldn’t take pic of the large bed as I have disturbed it.

Other reviewers have said much of what I would have = professionally run operation, convenient to the famous Bridge. A good place to start your exploration of the area. Moderately priced at 1000+ Baht per night, one can hardly beat the location.
Explore the WW2-era Japanese shrine directly across the street. There is even a queue of baht-buses in front for your travel needs.

You can stay here with confidence, its a good place to stay, the rooms are clean and the staff are also very helpful and friendly. The pool is small but again very clean and inviting. Breakfast is good and will set you up for the day. Its within walking distance of the Bridge and the railway station, there is only one return trip in the day to Nam Tok it leaves at 1044 arrives Nam Tok 1235, runs round and departs at 1255 back at the Bridge station at 1440. IF you miss the return the next train is the next morning at 0520 and there is nothing much at Nam Tok! Fares are 100bts each way, buy the ticket on the train. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel or get local transport south where you will pass many more places and bars for a 40bt ride. Hotel car parking is not the best and the overflow behind the coffee shop could do with an upgrade but thats about the only thing I would fault, we would stay here whenever we are here for the Bridge Show or a ride on the train which is well worth it. Some pictures seem to show tea/coffee making facilities but thy are not provided by the hotel, coffe shop adjacent 7-11 aross the road.

Have stayed here before and its not as good as it used to be. The staff are good and friendly. The Wi-Fi did not work at all on 2 days and the TV we could only find one channel, a Thai shopping channel. We had 2 keys to start with and were told to leave one in the position that keeps the electricity on, on day 2 that card disappeared from the room and was never replaced. Looks to me that the breakfast is now valued at 200bts, it appeared to me that the hotel used to be 1200 a night with b/f now its looks like the room price is 1400bts and b/f for walk ins is 200 bts, a sneaky price rise . its certainly filling. The pool looked a little hazy to me and the way it was being cleaned was not going to solve the haze. The location is good but not sure I would stay there again. For a busy time of the year the hotel did not seem busy.

The hotel is situated within minutes walk to the bridge and long-tail boat trips. The WiFi is great, however the TV channels are rubbish, not 1 channel is in English, which is dissapointing, we asked for a kettle in the room, which was supplied, but no tea, coffee etc, not even a spoon to stir your drink. No safe in room so your valuables are at risk, aircom pretty noisy and not really that effective

I stayed here one night as part of a road trip that included Kanchanaburi Province.
This is a clean, well maintained & professionally run budget hotel. It is situated in close proximity to the River Kwai Bridge where travelers will find restaurants, cafes, cash machines, and a 7-Eleven. So, if the bridge is your primary objective, the hotel is in a very convenient location.
On the other hand, it is a bit of a hike (1.8 km) from the bar/restaurant area further down the river on the same road.
Unfortunately, at a walk-in rate of 1150 THB (without breakfast), I thought it was a bit overpriced and was easily able to find similar accommodations at a better price down the road.

Good value for money
The hotel is well located (you can access the Death Bridge on foot), we had the Japanese room with three beds for a family of two adults and two children (4 years and 1 year).
The staff was very friendly and kind.
Breakfast is excellent (western breakfast).

+1
Great location less than 5 minutes walk from bridge. Very quiet as well as many visitors are day trippers. There are many bars and restaurants within walking distance in the street but they are typically further down the road. Staff at hotel were very friendly and helpful with any questions re train times etc.
Museum and cemetery are a short car ride <10 minutes. Recommend Hellfire pass but this is approx 90 minute drive, combine as day trip to Erewan Waterfall. Hotel great value with breakfast and pool. Breakfast was great and had vegetarian options.
Highly recommend this hotel.

We loved this hotel! Close to the bridge and museum and many eateries . Pool was a nice touch as well as the breakfast . Clean and front desk very helpful. We got our laundry done and had a few speciality items that needed delicate and they obliged. We got the triple Japanese room . If you are ok with a hard thin mattress on top of wood, this is your place. Other rooms had mattresses. TV had a few English stations around 646. You can rent bikes , feed monks and most of the taxi colllective trucks are right in front of hotel. We had a car so you park behind the restaurant. Security at night.

The hotel is five minutes walk from Kwai Bridge railway station and the infamous bridge itself (Saphan Kwae Yai). There are shops and facilities nearby including Goodway Restaurant floating on the river with a view of the bridge.
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful - they arranged a taxi for us to make a day trip into the mountains. The room was clean and comfortable overlooking the outdoor swimming pool. Breakfast was very good, though slightly limited in choice.

No safe but it’s a modern & secure hotel with 24/7 staff and CCTV in all public areas, plus the rooms are card access only, it’s very safe and I had no issues or qualms with leaving passport & cash in my unlocked bag.
