Best at this hotel however is the Elephant sanctuary and Elephant museum, they host. Somboon legacy is a truely ethical non commercial Elephant sanctuary , and visitors receive a lot of information, and can watch and study the 2 almost free sweet elderly Elephant Ladies, but it is a hands free experience , the Elephants are not bothered by any of the guests and visitors . Keep in mind , no hand feeding , no riding no bathing of the Elephants, only watching :-). A truely beautiful, and sustainable concept. The Elephant sanctuary pays off for any visit , it is a must have experience in Kanchanaburi region.
The restaurant by the river and very nice.
A nice step for a very moderate price
Staff are all very friendly and always had a smile. There’s a pool and spa area, which is a nice place to relax in the afternoon. The resort’s main building has a little cafe area plus restaurant. The food was always good and at a reasonable price.
Nearby attractions are Erawan Falls, temples and the River Kwai. The resort can help arrange transport.
At first I thought that from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi would take a lot of time but actually it wasn't at all it was 2 hours from bangkok. It was really worth going there because it is actually a place where there is a lot of trees and good for relaxing and not only that the food there was really good they have a lot of types of food. So for me I would highly recommend anyone to come to the legacy river kwai it's worth going there
