Detailed Reviews
Surrounded by nature with river view, very polite and friendly staff but only speak Thai. I met the owner of the property very humble lady, welcoming. Need to have your own car as around 35 km from city.

I went there on my birthday. I booked 2 nights room. The view there is good, peace and beautiful but the room is old.
first night is ok. we woke up and ate breakfast with another guest who were from company's outing. Our nightmare started on the second night, we backed from the town and slept for many hour before waking up from hot air.
I was so surprise that my electricity in the room was cut off. No one pick up my phone call and I found out that hotel was look like a ghost house. only 1 staff left there and she was bout to go home.
She apologized about the electricity and call the staff from home to correct it.
In the morning there was no breakfast, coz we were the only room left. and I don't think the rest of them known.
I didn't get even a word sorry from them but the lie to Agoda that they didn't do anything wrong. and they had already served me the breakfast.

+1
If you stay here be prepared to bring your own food or eat out
They say they sell alcohol see my photo
But it was always no have
No have Leo
No have Heineken
No have gin and tonic etc etc
We eat pad Thai there was just the 4 of us in the restaurant and there were 4 ladies sitting talking behind restaurant counter
The food took 40 min to arrive but what the ladies were doing we had no idea they vanished and service was non existent
The bath and shower water was often just tepid
All this being said
The room was clean the aircon ok
This hotel has enormous potential it is modern and right on the river Kwai the grounds are stunningly beautiful and well maintained
A beautiful swimming pool
Perfect for a wedding BUT I would not trust them as their total lack of regard to service is scary
There is nothing around for miles so you would expect a well stocked bar
This premises could easily become a 4 star luxury hotel but it is a poor 3 star
So to sum up if you want a holiday in perfect quiet surroundings but accept that you have to survive on your own devices then that is good
A great place to write your first novel

The room is very spacious and amazingly quiet. We had a few rooms facing the river and the huge pool. Very comfortable and clean. The grounds was very well kept and so beautiful. Staff friendly and ready to serve. We had breakfast which was included and there were so many options and tasted delicious. Very family friendly. There are some bike rentals. I also noticed quite a few avid cyclists in the area. I assume there are some great biking trails around.
The river makes it breezy all day and it was so comfortable even when the weather is very warm. No mosquitoes at night due to the nice breeze as well

We booked at this resort in a hurry and didn't get the chance to look properly at the location. From the photos on the website and the favorable reviews on tripadvisor we thought it seemed a safe choice. We were told by our driver on the way that it was about 40km outside of Kanchanaburi town.
When we arrived at 7.30pm the hotel was eerily quiet, a bit like from a horror movie. We didn't see a single guest and only 2 staff. We checked into our rooms - very sad, old, dirty and with threats of fines written on the soap and shampoo bottles if removed from the room. We had a few drinks and found when we went to pay that all staff had gone home.
In the morning we were surprised to find some other guests who were there for a conference and breakfast was quite good. We later realised this hotel is mostly only used as a conference centre. We asked at the desk about taxis and told a taxi to town would cost about 1500 baht. Instead we got a lift to the end of the driveway and waited for a bus. It never showed and fortunately a bus full of Thai teachers who had been at the hotel for a conference stopped and drove us into town.
For almost the same price book Felix in town. It's close to everything and far better for the price. Just don't book here!

In the middle of nowhere, you need your own car to overnight. It is an average hotel with average facilities. Very quiet place if you are searching for relax but no other amenities are available. All the place is a little run-down and need a refurbish

I got nice impression on place. and we can goto anywhere. River with a wind nice morning. Fair breakfast.
My wife " JJune " love it. This place release us the stress.
I did reserve 2 room x 2 night at beginning from Agoda. After stay 1 day. We did extend another 2 nights for stay in good natural atmosphere. Cost is only 1,550 / room/ night.
All good for our time relaxxx.

This hotel is situated with a pool that offers the most amazing views. It is right next to the river, surrounded by gardens and is overlooked by mountains. I simply cannot explain how beautiful the view really was. There are also various ponds in the hotel grounds occupied by frogs. I loved this but they are quite noisy once the sun goes down so i guess could irritate some people. The only downside to staying here is, i believe, attributable to the fact we stayed ''out of season''. Very limited food was served and there was no alcohol available at all. Aside from overnight coach party travel, we were the only guests for the two nights we stayed which was definitely a bonus for us but the lack of food/drink available may have irritated some. All said, the 2 members of staff were brilliant and they were happy for us to bring in our own drink and drink it wherever we pleased. Nothing was too much trouble and this certainly didn't slur my opinion of this really lovely hotel.

First of all this is not really trying to be a western hotel. It falls more on the side of a Thai hotel so if you are looking for 4 or 5 star type features you won't get it. However if you just want a place to hang your hat while exploring the mountains this place is just fine.
The best part was the pool. It was big and had an area that was shaded by large trees. The pool is a short distance from the river with a beautiful mountain in the background. This is a very serene place to relax after a day of trekking.
Also this hotel will not break your budget so if that matters I can say this is a good choice. And finally absolutely, do not go if you don't have a trip set up or a car of your own. This is not somewhere you just stay for a long time. It is a base.
