I loved the hotel, the pool is beautiful. The decoration and the room size is great. The bathroom is small but well equipped with right amenities, and there is a standing shower that is great too.
There is not elevator so if you are booked on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th floor make sure your knees are ok. Usually the staff helps with the luggage too.

There is a but. The clealiness. The hotel seems to be clean as the colors are kind of dark, deep purple eggplant color.
The room looks clean but there are small ants around the coffee and tea making facilities. We did have also ants in the sink in the bathroom. The sink had kind of patches of a white thing around.
There are some damage parts in the room that should be repaired.
Windows are huge and need to be cleaned too to enjoy that amazing view they have.

Bed and linen are quite clean, the views from the room are amazing, full river kwai view in all floors. Lower floors, probably a little less, but views are stunning anyway.

The breakfast is limited but sufficient. It is more than enough but the kitchen, open kitchen, is messy and untidy. There are little ants around the bread and croissants.
The breakfast view is amazing, right in front of the river. will be amazing if they could decluttered the amount of chairs around.

On the way to the pool there are 2 small rooms: one seems to be the kids playroom and the second one, kind of library or meeting room. Both are completely messy and full of staff, cluttered. Not a good look when you walk to the pool.

The swimming pool is stunning, maybe with white marble tiles although the wooden floor are in desperated need of repair, some of the wooden boards needs to be fixed because walking bare feet can be even dangerous.

We couldnt enjoy the hotel at night. but they have a nice cozy garden and a bar to enjoy the views of the river with some music.

Staff is very friendly and willing to help, but seems they are the ones who took over the hotel, thats why probably the hotel is a bit messy and cluttered as there is not management present.

The experiencie and the place has been great.
We will defintely come back

This is a great hotel with a nice view of the river and away from the business of the downtown area. If you like peace and quiet and still just a 10-minute walk from town, this is the place to stay. The swimming pool is very clean and they have wood platforms along the river for relaxing, having tea/coffee/food, or sunbathing. Breakfast isn't the best but you are within a few minutes' walk from town and there are many restaurants/bars and street food of your choosing. While you are here make sure to visit the Death Rail Bridge, Jeath War Museum, and The Curve coffee shop.

I booked the room via agoda that’s fast booking and check-in. Nice staff at the front desk. There were not enough staffs at the lounge for breakfast, also the staffs wasn’t nice. Not enough choices of breakfast for this cost of room we spent. The wall was thin so that you can hear the loud noise from upper floor. The room was big with balcony but the bed was not soft. There were ants in the room. Anyway, this hotel has nice view. If I have a chance to come back, I’ll say no.

On the face of it could be a Thai 4* except no lift so rated 3* but it is a bare 3* due to the fact that the mattress is rock hard as are the pillows never experienced anything as bad in the thousands of hotel rooms I have stayed at .Another big negative is the lack of soundproofing between rooms it's like your neighbors are in the room with you!
When we arrived in the room no soap or toilet tissue.
All in all way overpriced!

So apart from the view and rooms we will say correct the rest a disaster. A very poor breakfast like cold egg and nothing. Yogurt bread. This is far from Thailand. Pool breakage. Hardwood floors break. Hard mattress like I ever had tested. Too bad this hitel has potential. Nice view. No manager on site as maids. Short desert. Fuyezzzz

I and my friend stayed 2 nights at this hotel. It is new hotel with friendly staffs, nice decoration, cozy swimming pool, amazing river view. They offer free bikes for you if you don't mind to burn your calories to drive somewhere in the town. We drove bike from the hotel to night market in 20 minutes. It was really nice experience! The disadvantage of this hotel is without elevator. It is bit hard time for you to carry big suitcase to be up and down without assistance from staffs sometimes. Overall, the rest ones are great!

The hotel is nicely located at the river side on a quiet location but just a 5 minute walk from the main street with many restaurants and bars. They have a very nice pool overlooking the river. Rooms are clean and the breakfast service is wonderful (basic but good service and fresh). The reception has a very cozy and local atmosphere. The hotel has free use of bikes to bike around the town. Staff is very service oriented. The hotel doesn't have an elevator and 4-5 levels. So if you can't walk a lot of stairs, make sure you get a room on level 1 or 2.

Great small hotel. Right on the Kwai and within walking distance to the strip. People have complained about the distance but we found it no problem less than 5 mins walk.
Hotel has a good sized pool. Rooms are large size and well furnished.
A/C good very quiet rooms
Staff are helpful, breakfast was very good.
Kanchanaburi was a brilliant place I will definitely return

The Glory River Kwai Hotel was a wonderful place to spend a few days.
It is a small and very stylish hotel on the banks of the River Kwai, a beautiful location 5 mins from the main restaurants and attractions.
The staff speak some English and were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
They have free bikes for guests and
the complementary breakfast was also very good.
Highly recommended

I loved this hotel, everything about it! Cannot find anything bad to say. The staff - especially Am and Mon - were wonderful. So friendly, so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Even though their English is very basic we always got there in the end. They always made the extra effort. I also liked the position of the hotel, just out of town over the bridge, about a ten minute walk but in a much quieter area. My room was on the ground floor (which I preferred as there is no lift) with a great view over the river. The pool was lovely, also overlooking the river. There are a few restaurants nearby, only a few minutes walk. The only little thing - if there has to be one! - is that the mattress was quite hard, but that is of course a personal thing. What I also appreciated is that they picked me up from the railway station when I arrived because they 'had to be in town anyway' so that was very nice of them. A great place, would definitely return!
