I went though all of the hostels in my map and this one was the cheapest, really friendly guy . A little far, but ok. The place itself is beautiful. I payed 150 for a "dorm" of 3 beds, but I was the only one.

What strikes first - a very kind owner. No hard-sell at all. He speaks good enough English. This, plus the style of the place won me over. The room was very clean (super comfy double bed, fan, for 250 baht). The whole compound has been well thought-through, there's nice wooden decor all over the place, pleasant cafe. Nothing like the...

Great value for money. We paid just 170B for a room with a shared bathroom. We had no problems with mozzies and the place was clean and the staff were all nice enough. We would of stayed longer if we were staying in the area. The food in chiang rai is awesome.

For 250 bhat per night (just over a fiver) you get a double bed fan room in an attractive wooden lodge/guest-house. But the walls may as well not even exist because you can hear everything that goes on in adjacent rooms. Should you be unlucky enough to get a group of noisy inconsiderate teenagers in the room next door, you...

Rooms v basic with shared bathrooms. Unfortunately walls are made of bamboo so you can hear entire conversations and sex sessions in adjacent rooms in fine detail. If budget is very pressing and sleep quality not your highest priority then this place would be ok for you.

Stayed here for a night. It is pretty easy to find, about 20min walk from bus station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was ok, nothing special, bed was falling apart but the biggest problem was that there was no glass in the window so any noise outside woke us hence we were awake from 4am....
