The couple that runs the guesthouse is lovely - Nok (the female owner who handles bookings and pick-ups in town) speaks great English and does everything to ensure your stay is great. Her partner, Noi, is quite a character and does every bit of handy work around the cottages. He made a big bonfire for us each night, which was...

Nestled in the Lahu village, Bamboo Nest pampered us with its gorgeous view of greenery. As there isnt much to do after the sunset, we chatted with our neighbours (the other guests). I think we spent almost 1.5-2 hours hanging out while waiting for dinner and over dinner. We were really lucky to have nice company, Jennifer and Mike, Dinali...

The bamboo nest is a lovely getaway! It is quiet, in the middle of nature! The bamboo nests are clean and very authentic. Keep in mind in order to get this fabulous experience it is at least an hour drive out of Chiang Rai... but very much worth it! The hosts are lovely. If you have signed up for the...

The bamboo nest was exactly what it advertised. It was in the middle of nowhere, a walk away from a hill village and a pretty waterfall and the only noises were the chirps of insects in the evening and birds in the day. There is nothing to do which suited me, and the view from my nest was so beautiful...

Getting here was half the fun. We loved staying in a bamboo cottage and relaxed straight away. Think hammock with a view over rice fields to mountains. We also visited a lovely local waterfall. Food great (expect to pay a little more but worth it - generous serves, delicious yellow curry). Breakfast not included - 190B for full cooked breakfast...

we got picked up at the airport and drove to the bamboo nest. First impression: steep roads but a jeep can get up the hill everywhere. Nok and Noi are super nice people and we enjoyed our stay very much. Our house was amazing and had a great view! Noks cooking was amazing..best we had so far on our trip...

If people are not your thing but fresh air, rolling hills, long treks and home cooked food are, then this is the place to check out. It's the perfect get away from anything and everything that has two arms, two legs and a mouth which dribbles and jabbers uncontrollably. Set on the top of a hill, Bamboo Nest De Chiang...

We spent 2 nights in this wonderdul guesthouse nearby Chiang Rai. The wonderdul wooden bungalows are located in the mountain (free pick-up from Chiang Rai if you stay 2 nights or more). The place is incredibly quiet and surrounded by the nature. You can go for a walk on your own or with a guide. Small restaurant with really really...

Stuck in the hills surrounding Chiang Rai (approx 1 hr driving from Chiang Rai old bus station downtown) this is a beautiful, essential, little complex of bamboo huts for the ones who'd like to experience nature and simplicity. Nok, the owner/manager, is a lovely, energetic lady experienced in tourism and hospitality and will help you settle down. Note that this...

Found this place in my Lonely Planet guidebook and was immediately intrigued. Emailed Nok and booked a double cottage for three nights. Such an incredible experience! Bamboo Nest is absolutely gorgeous, and Nok and Noi are so kind! If you are looking for a little R&R without electronics, definitely consider staying here. Make sure you take a trekking tour with...
