On arrival to Chiang Rai, I already had a small list of places where I could stay, and Jansom House was on the higher-priced side of this list in (rather cheap even by Thai standards considering accommodation) Chiang Rai, but I decided to check it first, as I planned to work online on one of the days, so I needed...

Nice place, cheap rooms. Centrally located, staff is nice, but their English is how shall I say: No Bueno? LOL. But it is nice for the price. You can hit up a temple to visit and then hit up a bar that night and dance the night away!

Partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in mid November. We called in advance to book which was a good job as there were no vacancies when we arrived. The room was very clean and a good size for 2 people to share. The bed was fine in comfort and size. We were on the top floor which perhaps...

Clean and cheap. You have a minifridge and tv for a price of a double room without... So very good price for what you get. The included breakfast is toast, fruit, tea and coffee. Which is poor. But you get more for the room.

We stayed 2 nights. the location is great with many restaurants and tourist agencies all around. the housekeepers are nice but it''s not easy to communicate as they are not speaking english very well. the room is clean and it's perfect place if you have a small budget. we payed 450 thb per night simple breakfast included.

We were shown 2 of the mid-priced rooms (the guest house offered low, middle and high), both which seemed a little tired and run-down with the strong smell of cigarette smoke. We asked to see their best room which was was basic, spacious, new, clean and smelt of fresh paint which was a bit better than stale smoke. It was...

I too CANNOT understand the contrary reviews here. We found it very clean, very friendly and the price is right on the button. Rooms are good size with TV, remote AC, free wi-fi and good bathroom. Very comfortable bed, it is centrally situated in Chiang Rai, minutes from the Clock Tower, and surrounded by restaurants, bars and massage parlours. Location,...

Situated at the bottom of Jetyod Road near to a temple, Jansom House is a winner. The rooms are on three floors on either side of a courtyard full of plants and nice wooden furniture. The rooms themselves are large and are well-equipped. There is no bedside furniture, but a light switch is on the wall above your head. There...

After spending a decent amount of time in Northern Thailand, what Jansom House provides is truly all you need. Clean rooms, hot showers & wifi. Price is more expensive than a hostel, but rooms are all private.

The rooms and I checked two smell disgusting, it's tiny concrete cells and when I asked for toilet paper in the morning I got told is get a new one when the housekeeping was done. Hence decision to leave after one night. I've been in Thailand for three months and for this price range this is the worst place I've...
