I've stayed here for 5 nights, I was sick during my stay. The place is lovely! The family who runs it are the friendliest and warmest people! They have some sweet cats. And they took good care over me. Every night everybody goes to bed around 22. It's completely quiet, so for me this was the perfect place to recover....

We stayed here for one night because I couldn't wait to get out of here the next day! The double room fan 300 baht. Small, dirty and just not nice to sleep in. Found poo (I hope gecko poo) in bed sheets. The common area/bar is good but not when you want to sleep and everyone is making noise and...

I got a single room for 150 baht per night in the off season, the room wasn't spotless but it was clean enough. The owner (or at least he seemed to be the man in charge) Pheebo is very knowledgeable about attractions in the area, I rented a scooter for 150 baht per day from him and he gave me...

One of my favourite places in Chiang Rai! Stayed there for 2 nights, and we organised our awesome 2 days trek in the jungle with them. Ask for Chai, he is an amazing guide and is well spoken, he will tell you all about the culture and is really funny! The staff was great and really helpful, and the food...

Stayed in this guesthouse for two nights. The rooms are cheap and relatively clean. Could do with a lick of paint, but I'm not the type of person who cares much about that. The owner speaks very good english and is extremely helpful, however the rest of the staff don't speak english (still extremely pleasant) Nice quiet location and the...

I will stay here even after my low-budget-backpacker days are past. It's that good. The guy in charge is so friendly and likeable, I felt at home right away. The lounge and gardens are lovely and homey. The showers, toilets, and dorm were all very clean and welcoming, but there were ants. However, it felt so energetically comfortable that they...

This can be considered as a budget accommodation, and to have traveled in those kind of places for three months now, chat house can be considered as a good deal. You can get rooms with shared bathroom for 200baht/night, the rooms are a little bit old but the linen is very clean, the fan was a bit old and noisy,...

We stayed at chat house for one night. The room was cheap and clean enough but a little run down and could have done with a refurb. But it did the job. The fan in the room was very old and squeaked whilst on. We had a quiet nights sleep. The rooms are set around a communal garden area with...

Didn't have a booking in chiang rai and was brought here on a whim by a tuktuk - and so glad for it! The price is unbeatable - we got a private room with two twin beds for 100b a night (each), very clean and quiet. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, helped us find a bus to Bangkok...

We stayed at Chat house by chance just two days before Songkran. They were able to give all six of our group comfortable accommodation for only 100 baht a night. The place was a bit old but clean enough for my taste. The real treat was how helpful the staff were. They hooked us up with a fairly priced trip...
