Friendly manager, clean room, wifi, cold beer, restaurant on premise, located next to Wat Phra Kaew temple & museum.... Bring a camera and go to the clock tower in town at 6:45pm. Sit on the corner that has the big concrete steps. At 7pm you're in for a nice dose of Chiang Rai charm. Enjoy.

Chat Guest House is a pleasant and comfortable place. The owner is kind and friendly. There is a large outdoor area with plenty of tables and chairs, and there's also a restaurant (I didn't eat here, though). I also like all the cats roaming around and saying hello. :) I stayed in a single room with a shared bathroom. The...

Got here because of our tuk tuk driver and were positive surprised. We got a double room with our own bath - which was really nice. We had to pay 350 Baht which isn't much for this really lovely room. It's not far to the market as well.

I really liked the ambiance of this guesthouse. The owner is very sweet and all the lovely cats in the garden make the place charming! I stayed a week and a half in the dorm, which was clean and comfy. Definitely recommend this guesthouse!

I stay in chat house every time I visit chiang rai. The location is quiet, but still central, the owners of the guest house are kind, and the courtyard is always occupied by a collection of adorable kittens. Prices are low as well; the dorm in August 2015 was 100 baht and a room with a large bed and en...

I stayed at Chat House in Chiang Rai for more than 2 weeks in July 2015. The rooms are very clean and the staff is wonderful. They have a lot of information about tours if you are interested. Also they have a great restaurant and will make delicious fruit drinks if you ask. The WiFi is fast. I would definitely...

We stayed at Chat house for 2 nights. The guest house is nice and clean, the owner offers laundry services and tourists information for a few good sightseeing tours in Chiang Rai. Great music and food! If you are coming to chiang rai - this is the place for you!

Wonderful Guesthouse with friendly funny owner. Good restaurant with delicious food. Nice and clean rooms. Bit noisy and lots and lots of cats. Which for me is a nice thing as I love cats. The owner is clearly a cat lover too and is very friendly and helpful.

This guest house is in a quiet location on the edge of town but it takes less than 15 mins to walk into the centre. The rooms are set around a garden and the restaurant/communal area so it's a good place to meet other travellers. There's plenty of parking for mopeds too. The rooms are well maintained and whilst I...
