One of the worst hotels i have EVER stayed in, but the only one near the railway station. If you arrive late and need to continue on to the ferry port to the islands you may not have any choice [like us.] But best to avoid if at all possible. It is cheap though.

The Surat Thani train station is actually located in the charming town of Phun Phin. Queen Hotel is little more than hop step and weary skip away, from this lovely old world train station. look for the Queen Hotel on the left when arriving by bus, it's the only hotel! I was actually keen to see this Hotel having read...

We arrived in Surat Thani after a long 8-5 train journey from Bangkok. Tired and weary we were keen to find the nearest hotel to dump our bags and relax. Unfortunately for us, the nearest place to stay from the station is The Queen. We were told by a friendly, genuine local that it was "basic." We were warned however...

Arriving at 230am late on the Butterworth to Bangkok train the hotel was 2 minutes from the station (exit and head left look for 7 eleven and family mart on either side of street and the hotel is just down from the family mart side of the road). The station was full of dodgy people and notsafe for female travellers....

We choose that hotel cause it was the only one near the train station. For one night if you have to catch a train (and you don't expect a nice hotel) it's okay. There was one bottle free water in the room and the cleanliness of our room was okay. There is a nice market near the hotel with good...

Cannot say anything good about this place other than it is cheap and so it should be. Grumpy unwelcoming staff and less than basic room, It does seem to be the only hotel in town so you take your chances. Bathroom is a kind of unique experience. Next time I will sleep on a bench at the station, I am...

We picked this hotel as we didn't manage to get a ticket in a sleeper train towards Bangkok. The owner/receptionist was first a bit rude, but when we decided to stay he became more friendly. Rooms a very basic, ac is provided, but managed downstairs by the owner. Beds quite hard, nothing special, poor condition, but clean! Location us good,...

This hotel is the only one close to the train station. We arrived at 00.30 am, and the hotel is only 5 minutes walk. A stahl of local food is just across the street and still opened when we came. Bus agents and bus station to reach Donsak pier to catch a ferry to Ko Samui is also only 5...

I was never treated so badly: I arrived at midnight after a long journey, tired and with heavy backpack. This is the only hotel next to the central train station (the others are in text drive distance). The man at the reception at first was sitting out side ignoring me and then when willing to get in and talked to...
