I've entitled my review referencing the rainforest as it was a key reason we chose this particular hotel. It sits in amongst the forest and is so sympathetically constructed that you feel a little bit back to nature without compromising on your comfort. Our deluxe room was modern

We stayed at the Khaolak Merlin resort for 7 nights, everything was perfect. The room is spacious, kept exceptionally clean by the lovely housekeeper. We could not fault this hotel, we stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. The buffet breakfast has everything you could possibly

Hi are there yoga lessons at the hotel?
Nope, but you can probably ask the girls on reception to book a teacher to pay for... it shouldn’t be expensive.

Hi, CarolineJJones. What would you like to know about this accommodation? I have just read on your website that you charge a Mandatory fee for New years eve of THB 7350 for a gala dinner... website says "New Year's Eve (31 December) Gala Dinner per adult: THB 7350" What if we don't want to attend this dinner? I assume this isn't mandatory then?
Do they have any entertainment for New Year’s Eve?
Even if there’s not, I’d recommend celebrating in the village at Siam Tumeric or heading into Khao Lak town by taxi... you’ll find nightlife in the latter.

Hi what is the weather like out there now?
I went in September and that’s the rainy season. Was actually quite nice for most of it with a few days where it rained all day. I have also been in April which is the sunny season. I think around now it will most likely be good weather most days. Don’t let it stop you going. Still amazing

Is there any restrictions to the all inclusive package we should be aware about before booking?
Not that we are aware of. We ate in the restaurant next to the beach called The Veranda it is al la Carte and has a really good selection, we prefer to be served than eat at the buffet (even though the buffet selection was excellent). We stayed for a week and did not pay any extras. Hope this helps.
