We stayed in Onsea House during our last night in Tanzania. We've been to many places in Tanzania, but Onsea is definitely one of our favourites. We enjoyed it to the fullest. Great staff and probably the best food in Arusha! Thanks Axel, Thomas and all the staff for a wonderful stay.

I came here last year, and decided to come back as start and endpoint for safari. The place became more quiet, road access is improving with the new highway. At this moment the best place to stay near Arusha when you have an international flight to take, as traffic jam can hold you up for three hours, when you stay...

We used Onsea House as our beginning and end of our trip up Kilimanjaro. It was perfect for that. The food is very good, the service a bit over the top. Location was great for getting in and out. Beware of rooms 1, 2, and 3 which at night hear dogs barking all night long. Others in our group stayed...

Brief overnight stay, BUT what hotel keeps staff until 11pm to feed 4 tired travelers. (BTW food and service were great). Room was spacious and comfortable. Beautiful views. TrueAfrica started our 2 week safari out in style.

We stayed and dined at Onsea House on the recommendation of a friend living in Arusha. While we had a satisfactory dinner with our friends on the evening of our stay, we thought Onsea was charming enough but grossly overpriced. The room was not even as well appointed as The Kia Lodge which is one fourth the price. The staff...

We had a brief jaunt in Arusha at the beginning of November and we were excited to try out some fine dining options in Arusha. The staff are amazing, friendly and personable. They make one menus for the day and we were not informed of an al a cart menu. The food is dairy heavy so if you are dairy...

I am not sure it matters, but I don't know whether I stayed in the Onsea or Machweo property - I believe they are connected. Our tour group arrived very late (10:30pm) but were very quickly welcomed by the staff and made to feel at home. Even at that late hour we were provided a nice three course dinner. My...

My husband and I spent two nights at Onsea House resting up from a long flight from Los Angeles. We were greeted warmly by the staff and we were accommodated in a three-bedroom house overlooking gardens and Mount Meru. The privacy and comfort were exceptional. Cocktails on the main veranda and a 5-course gourmet dinner, from the best chef in...

Very impressed with the architectural design. The landscaping is complimentary to the hardscape which is also designed to provide natural privacy. The visual experience is organic - the colors, the plants, the flowers, the greenery, the stones, and the overall landscape. From the lovely open restaurant in the back, you can see the majestic Mt. Meru to the right and...

This place is a hidden gem, nicely tucked away in the hills that surround the town of Arusha in northern Tanzania. It offers exquisite fine dinning experience with a remarkable view of the outskirts of Arusha. The panoramic view is nicely accompanied by calm surroundings and luxurious cottages sitting on top of the hill. Don't miss out the spa that...
