We stayed there at the beginning of our Safari and at the end. What a nice place, you would never know this place existed, when driving down the windy bumpy road. It is a hidden treasure in the middle of Arusha. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic. Thank you for such a...

What a treasure to find right outside of Arusha. When you first are driving down the the rutty dusty road, do not be fooled. Once inside the property a beautiful lodge awaits with wonderful people inside to greet and help you. All of the rooms are separated from the main lodge giving each guest a private cottage of their own....

We stayed here one night in the middle of our photo safari and found it clean, comfortable and relaxing with beautiful grounds. It was the dry season so the pool, which is not heated, was too cold to enjoy, but would be very refreshing in the wet (and warmer) season. The service was good, but when I asked to borrow...

I stayed at Moivaro Lodge for a night before and a night after trekking Kilimanjaro. I would have loved another night or two. The property is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The showers are hot and the restaurant buffets are delicious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. And they have a safe, secure place to store your...

We stayed at this lodge as part of our Overseas Adventure Travel experience. We each had our own cabin which was quite spacious and had an excellent shower. The grounds were beautiful and the food at the restaurant was delicious and varied. The hotel grounds were beautiful. However, one issue we had was retrieving items we had left at the...

We flew out of the Serengeti Mara and stayed at Moivaro overnight before flying home the next day. There were relaxing and inviting dining/bar areas and the food was really good. The rooms were very nice, although could use a little updating. Still, a very charming place to stay.

Spent two nights here before heading west to the national parks. Staff was great, helpful, with a great sense of humor. Food was very good and staff was efficient during breakfast and dinner. Room was nice, showers hot, and bed comfortable.

This was our first lodge we stayed in having come from the airport and it was fantastic. The customer service was excellent, the food was fantastic and the accommodation was simply stunning. We had our own lodge in the grounds and what a treat it was. A great place to get your energy back from a long flight and get...

Stayed here twice with my wife, once before our climb up Kilimanjaro and once after. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were great. They had an omelet station for breakfast. Lots of delicious fruit. Buffet style at dinner. Good food. Nice bar area. The grounds are fantastic. Lots of birds in the trees. The hut we had for the first night was...

Welcome to Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge & Estate, the lodge where you will stay in a charming atmosphere and enjoy every comfort you need. Moivaro Lodge is situated right in the heart of beautiful, natural scenery and yet is only 7 km from the town of Arusha: an ideal spot to enjoy the impressive flora and fauna of East Africa. At Moivaro Lodge we will ensure that you are looked after in a unique, friendly and peaceful manner, helping you to prepare for your safaris and cosseting you on your return in the evening. Our spacious thatched brick cottages are set in a lovely tropical garden, with private verandas ensuring every visitor all the privacy needed. Relax and enjoy the beautiful views of Mount Meru from the comfortable veranda, go for a stroll around the Moivaro property, or laze at the pool nestling in the midst of tropical trees and coffee plants. As a daily activity we arrange the Moivaro Village Walk. A unique opportunity to see everyday life in Tanzania and make closer contact with the local people. You can visit a local banana brewery and sample its beer; or hear the story of a local eccentric, and marvel at the tree house he fashioned for himself. A walk is typically 2 hours long and can involve a climb up Oldonyo Maas Hill for those looking for a more demanding experience. ... more   less
