We only stayed here one night so that we could get back into the crater for an early morning game drive. But it was much better than I expected. Most of this trip (and most of my reviews) say I wasn't sure what to expect since we were staying in a lot of places with "glamping" tents. But this was...

The location is perfect: on the rim in the forest and 10 minutes drive to the crater floor (this is why we chose it). It is affordable compared to other properties in the area (which is generally expensive and the service here is nothing compared to the camps in the southern parks). We arrived in mid afternoon and went for...

We were impressed with all the Ang'ata camps that we stayed at but this one was a favorite! Beautiful location and friendly, helpful staff. We loved being greeted with juice and warm towels at each camp! The atmosphere here was lovely- we had rain so could not take advantage of the bush tv (campfire) but we did enjoy a fantastic...

Angata Ngorongoro Camp was the highlight of our 5-days safari in and around Ngorongoro in terms of accomodation. We found this camp truly awesome and special. The camp really blew our minds. Great tents with comfortable beds, lots of space and own showers and bathroom. The food was great and service excellent and attentive (we were playing with our 5...

This tented camp is fine; but since it's very high up (more than 2000m above sealevel) it's really cool morning and afternoons, so the pictures show how it looks during the day. If you go there for an overnight, like we did, the tent will be closed, which makes the whole experience cold and dark.

We were here at the end of August. I chose the camp for its proximity to the crater floor - hoping to avoid some of the congestion if we got there early in the morning. Much better to stay anywhere inside the gates than out! The tents were very nice and the staff were super friendly and attentive! The only...

Although we only had 1 night at Ang'ata Camp we found it to be exactly what we were looking for. As a family of four we had found it difficult to find a camp that was comfortable yet conveniently located to the Crater, this however ticked all the boxes. Spacious tents with two separate bathrooms and a lot of room...

The staff at this camp is really what makes the difference! We felt immediately welcome and well looked after. The food was delicious and the tent was the perfect amount of ruggedness and luxury. Extra blankets that were provided were definitely appreciated on our cold crater nights! Thank you!

We stayed in Ang'Ata Camp Ngorongoro booked through our Safari Company Shadows Of Africa. I loved it. It is a small tented camp set on the ridge of the Ngorongoro crater in the middle of the wilderness. Tents: Tents are luxury tents with sink, toilet and shower. Bed is very comfortable and soooo nice to come back to after dinner....

Located in the trees up near the rim of the crater the camp gets pretty cold (Which our drivers hated, but after a week on safari we thought it was quite nice!). They have plenty of blankets and there were hot water bottles in the beds at night. The camp itself hasn't got all the mod cons, with showers needing...

The camp is situated right after Lemala Gate, inside the Craters boundaries on the Lemala descent road, currently also being used as ascent road, ideally situated for early morning game drives into the Crater.
