Someone at work booked this on my behalf and I failed to check it out in advance or check other options. My heart sunk as I walked in as I realised it was very dated and the stay would likely be awful. It ended up not being too bad all things considered, but is not "nice". It is very dated and needs a refurb. The rooms are massive but not nice with old and tired decor. Cleanliness wasn't great but also wasn't terrible. Hot water availability not too bad, and internet surprisingly good. The bed was hard but quite comfortable. Breakfast was a complete disaster - not open on time, and it's one of those awful places where they lazily cook everything the night before then put it in the chafing dishes to warm up in the morning. So the food is not fresh but worse, if you're early to breakfast it's also cold. The coffee is also terrible. I am glad I only stayed for 2 nights, and the location is good for business. Overall, it was ok for a secondary town in Africa, but there must surely be better options available locally.

Customer service and food well at least I eating healthy because their breakfast was nutritious.

Room service costs at around 3 dollars and it’s in the city centre so you have an evening work scouting the city.

Generally everything was great in our 2 nights stay at Arusha Palace Hotel

Comfortable well-functioning room and bathroom. Spacious room.
Towel rack was falling off wall!
Electric kettle in room. Toiletries provided in bathroom. Weighing scales provided in bathroom. Safe for storing valuables in wardrobe.
Snacks (muffin, bananas) provided when room is cleaned.
Buffet breakfast provided, large variety, delicious.
Dinner menu has reasonable selection on international food.
Professional reception staff, as would be expected for an international hotel.
Nice view of Mt. Meru from roof.
Quiet location and close to conference center and natural history museum. Some restaurants nearby.
Only one elevator serving 9 floors so often had to wait a long time.
Would be pleased to stay there again.

Wooooorst Gesture by Manager!😡

I went with siblings at the hotel's restaurant for an evening catchup.

This was 5th time at the hotel and the last one being a party. The past experiences were nice

Today the Manager escalated an embarrassing situation claiming that we were taking photos without permission even that we paid for the food.

He said we were kids and couldn't afford an expensive hotel so he called the restaurant maids to confirm.

He continued embarrassing us in-front of other staff saying we were not even able to comprehend because he was speaking English.

He said he was going to call for sticks so we get 3-cans each.

As funny as it is and maybe thinking he was joking, he confirmed he was not.

A lot of embarrassing words and insults were thrown to us just because he thought we were young. Anyhow, no one deserves such an experience and until the Manager sends an apology gesture, we will continue to sue him.

An excellent hotel, service is awesome, rooms are clean, the reception and all the staff are friendly. Breakfast is so nice, tasty and healthy food with lots of variety. Price is reasonable, I highly recommend any who wants to stay in Arush. The place is also central, it is a walking distance from the mini market and have a lot of cafeterias and restaurants.

For the price, I expected nothing short of a clean and spacious room topped with a pleasant view of the city. I slept like a baby that night. I stayed here on NYE on the 8th floor. I could see fireworks all across the city. On the 9th floor there was loud party going on, and the bass could be felt in my room and people were yelling up and down the hallway. So if you're looking for quiet location, make sure to not book the 8th floor on NYE. Cool cafes and supermarkets nearby if you want to buy some coffee and souvenirs back. Breakfast was one of the best I had in Tanzania. Their fresh fruits were superior to all.

The one good thing about the room was the size. Other than that, it was very dated. Leaking faucet, window that couldn't be completely shut, bad wifi coverage and broken items on the bathroom. The service was quite good, and a great breakfast.

Room was nice and comfortable. Was only there for 1 night during a stopover. Location wise very ideal i.e quite central in Arusha and their staff were super helpful and attentive. Would definately have it as an option for my next visit!

I had to make a business trip to Arusha and had a short time to plan for it. So what came TOP OF MIND... was the Palace Hotel and decided to check it out as I had stayed there before.

Was nice to meet with some old friend and students of mine and the friendly atmosphere was what I needed most...

Well rested and had a successful trip.

The service is off!. The hotel has zero COVID-19 protocols. Do not trust the five paged document shared before arrival. The staff did not wear masks. I attended a conference and the meeting room was congested with only doors as ventilation!

Was just there today 2nd Sept. 2023 and the staff didn't even understand when i asked twice if there were mock tails. The staff thought juice! To keep situation at ease, i agreed and swallowed my pride. The Manager turned out to embarrass us (i was with my siblings) that we were kids and couldn't afford an expensive hotel because we were taking pictures.
