Arusha Planet Lodge was the first and last place where we slept during our safari. However, it has been one of the most beloved of us. The beds were super comfortable, rooms were clean, the staff was gorgeous and lovely and the dinner/breakfast were abundant and well cooked. Also our breakfast and lunch boxes were really good. We recommend a lot this place!
After more than 24 hours of flying, we were able to rest in this hotel before starting our safari adventure. A quiet hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The lodges are spacious and clean with a view of the tropical garden. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is good.
From the minute we entered this place was a great experience. Great staff....great comfortable rooms...food was just fabulous....and amenities....you couldn't ask for anything more. Wifi ....as usual with all hotels it's always sub standard but we were not there ro google.
Very nice experience. The planet lodge hotel has a very beautiful garden and friendly staff. We had a nice stay there and we enjoyed it. The tempo is slow and very relaxing. Would have liked to stay longer.
Once you get a chance to visit there probably you will walk around the region and its beautiness however you will also see wildlife live and different species which found in there like lions tigers liopad and others therefore you will get experience and see the natural of the place
An enclosed, beautiful setting with bungalows, walking paths, and outdoor seating areas. Meals were great and supported my gluten free diet. The room was large and had a very large shower area that was fun.
The welcome at the lodge was very warm and friendly from all the staff. The individual lodges were basic but had everything you needed and the shower and bathroom facilities were very good. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and well presented, the main reception area and bar were well set out and a relaxing place to spend some time. The only downside was our lodge was near the road so from 5am there was a lot of traffic noise which made it hard to sleep. Overall though we were very happy with the lodge and it was a nice place to spend our final night before heading home.
Stayed here for one night at the start of a safari trip. Welcomed by 3 friendly, smiling members of staff as we got out of our vehicle and our heavy bags were carried to our room on the heads of two lovely ladies! Rooms are in little cottages in the lush gardens, very spacious with everything you need. There is also a small swimming pool and a pool bar. Dinner was great and we enjoyed a fantastic white wine called 'Goats Do Roam'! Definitely recommend this hotel.
Arusha Planet Lodge was such an oasis for our first night stay in Tanzania. We had a wonderful porch and a peaceful setting to soak up the sounds of the birds while we sat outside. Our room was so spacious with lots of hot water, a great rain shower, and lots of clean towels and pillows. The lodge offered amazing juices and welcome cookies, along with a great coffee bar for us to choose a wonderful coffee selection. The dinner options were wonderful with amazing potatoes, fish, and steak. We both enjoyed our delicious drinks as well. The breakfast buffet (with the omelette bar) was so good. Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer - great friendly staff and grounds! We absolutely loved our stay and we cannot wait to recommend Arusha Planet Lodge to all of our friends and family that want to visit Tanzania in the future!…
We had one double room and then a double and 2 singles with a connecting door. The rooms were lovely, the nets pretty good. Only issue that we had was with the shower tiles being rather slippery. Evening meal was 3 courses and we needed to select our options before we went to our room. The only issue that I had was that the 3 course meal was more than I could eat as well as the 2 children with us. With hindsite we could've gone for 2 meals less - a saving of 18$ on each meal The pool was closed when we arrived and didn't open till later than the sign said [but we are used to Tanzanian timings!] A lovely little pool
