We stayed at the Ngare Sero hotel for longer than anticipated on our trip due to a change of itinerary, however, I am so happy we did! The hotel is beautiful and in a calm and peaceful location. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful and were lovely to speak with - giving us insights into the Tanzanian culture. I cannot review the hotel without mentioning the food. All meals were simply amazing. The kitchen served us many local dishes ( with optional spiciness) and every meal was delicious. I loved learning about the food when I spokes with the waiters who explained everything. The food was so good that I was devastated to leave. I would highly recommend staying here!
What a gem of a hotel. The grounds are lovely, by a river, with the resident dogs and horses roaming freely. Food was very good. The service was excellent, and they were very accommodating for a late check out request. Wish I could have stayed here for more than one night.
Wonderful and stunning Lodge! We stayed there in january and enjoyed the very green lovely created parc. The food definetely deserves 5 stars! We always could choose between different courses and the food was local and fresh and cooked with lots of love. The Swimmingpool was amazing with monkeys in the trees closeby. You can also play cricket and have good internet access. We did a tour to Arusha NP. All in all: very recommendable!
The best vegan pizza I’ve ever had that I didn’t make myself. Absolutely scrumptious. And the service was great to boot. Make sure you have dinner reservations since I’m told they don’t eefire up the pizza oven every night. The tomato sauce was well spiced and nuanced. Far cry from typical Tanzanian pizza sauce. Also they actually put enough toppings on it to make it savory. Five star pizza. The salad was also tip top. Ngare Sero Lodge vegan pizza is now my number one culinary destination in Arusha. I could get addicted.
Close to Arusha, peaceful, packed with interesting history, well maintained, excellent service, delicious food and drink. I'd strongly recommend it to all friends.Great for relaxing forest walks and poolside rest. There are enchanting spaces for sitting and enjoying the forest and lake hidden all over the property. We saw monkeys and tons of birds.
Wonderful experience, beautiful garden and things to explore nearby. Nicely decorated room, great room. Lots of Attention to small details, very good service. They have a lake and horses. Did a nice 1 h nature walk in the area. Great base before/after safari and for exploring Arusha NP.
My stay here was one of the best I have had in 2021... I needed an escape and you guys gave me more than I could ask for. The staff is soo lovely, kind and sweet.. Above all they are pro photographers 😊😄 Definitely bringing my family next.. Thank you for having me. Regards to Allan and Irene for great service during my dinning times.. very accommodating. AND super thanks to the Boat Ride guy, great person to talk to and great photos he provided.
We spent our first night here as the start of our safari trip. It is a great retreat in the green, but close by Arusha, where you can walk a little and even have a small boat tour. The whole property will be cared with love and there are many places you can relax. Even our meals we have enjoyed at different terrasses and places. The staff is very friendly. All meals were tasty and opulent. Also our room was nice decorated and comfortable. We felt very well. It is a place where I could imagine also to stay longer than one night.
Excellent! We stayed for 3 nights. Lovely spacious cottage with very comfortable bed and private veranda. Wholesome and generous meals with lots of vegetarian options. Gorgeous gardens and lake views. Very friendly staff. Recommended
Very pretty setting, and unique property. My sister and I enjoyed walking the outer loop and seeing monkeys, colorful birds and the horses. This was maybe the warmest of the pools we experienced in Tanzania, but still extremely chilly. Had an amazing massage in the spa tent. Highly recommend the massage. Dinner was excellent and there is a nice selection of beer and wine. Great gift shop with pretty jewelry and some of the most reasonable prices we saw on this trip. While I appreciate the private dining spots, I did not care for the one they chose for us right by the water. Lots of steps, dusty and bugs, Not a comfortable breakfast spot and so far removed. I would also prefer to just order a plate of food over the buffet of items put out on the table. I appreciate the effort, but that part was a fail for both of us. All in all, a really pretty place though.…
