The Twiga Lodge was our landing point after the long 30+ hour journey to Tanzania. We arrived at the doorstep at the hideous hour of 3:00 a.m. and Paul and Erica were cheerily there to greet us. We stumbled up to our room and collapsed. We stayed for three nights and could not be happier with our selection. Twiga (giraffe)...

We had a great safari thanks to the superb organisation of Erica and Paul at Shaws safaris . Before we even arrived Erica never failed to respond to any e mails immediately and answered all queries. Twiga Lodge itself is a beautiful property with a huge, lush garden bordering the Arusha National Park. An ideal place to start your safari...

We had a long tiring though welcome flight to Kilimanjaro Airport followed by a trip of about 50 minutes to Twiga Lodge. Refreshing warm moist cloths to wash our hands then a delicious fruit juice to welcome us. It felt like a delightful oasis of calm after the hectic Airports we had traveled through. The garden is very well kept...

We traveled to Tanzania for a Safari in March 2014 and spent the first and last nights at Twiga Lodge located on the edge of the Arusha National Park. Paul and Erika have created a welcoming and relaxing environment in well kept grounds. During our stay, we saw a small herd of Elephants pass by in the park from the...

We travelled to Arusha, Tanzania from Canada in February 2014 to go on safari with Wayo Africa. It was a long flight, and we were looking forward to starting our trip with a bit of down time. We chose to stay at Twiga Lodge, conveniently located near the gate to Arusha National Park, where our safari was to begin. We...

We spent our first two nights in Tanzania at Twiga and could not have wished for a better start to our holiday. Paul and Erica made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and their enthusiasm for both Africa and the wildlife was infectious. The lodge is supremely comfortable and Erica served up delicious food - the communal dining...

We visited Twiga Lodge for the first time last year. Paul Sweet took us on a Safari trip into Arusha National Park (which the property overlooks) and we were smitten, so this year we undertook a self-drive safari organised for us by Erika Sweet. We stayed a few days enjoying the wonderful food and warm hospitality and then took the...

Paul and Erika Sweet have created a paradise oasis at Twiga Lodge! My husband I and stayed with them for two days before heading out on safari and returned to spend another three days, including a memorable New Year's Eve, with them after our safari. We were especially lucky to meet Paul's parents in from the UK and were welcomed...

Erica and Paul greeted four tired Canadians with warm and gracious hospitaiity and long, cool drinks on their spacious veranda, overlooking the lovely garden ,the silence broken only by the night sounds of Tanzania. It was a magical start to an exciting exploration and we all felt well rested and well fed when we set off on safari three days...
