Songota Falls Lodge was an amazing place to stay while in Arusha. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in a breathtaking location, and the service and food are outta this world. Joyce the owner was so incredibly sweet and made us feel right at home. If you need somewhere to stay before and after your safari, or...

If you're looking for an authentic African experience, the Songota Falls Lodge is the place for you. The Lodge rivals a 5-star hotel in terms of overall experience, if a genuine African experience is what you’re after. The Lodge in outfitted with several well-sized huts for sleeping, complete with mattresses, toilets, and showers with hot water. Joyce and her team...

It was my 2nd time staying, as good as always. Oswego Going Global team (12 of us) stayed there before and after the climb and left with great memories. The setting is magnificent and food is great. We all felt very relaxed, comfortable and welcome. It was a home away from home and it had all the best Tanzania has...

We stayed here before and after our safari. The setting is breathtaking and a welcome calm compared to the chaos of Arusha town. Joyce, the owner, is superb and delivers faultless service. Within a couple of hours of arriving, Joyce had helped us organise our safari as well as our travel arrangements back to Dar. We were suitably impressed with...

We arrived at Songota Falls Lodge after 40 hours of travel (including 2 sleepless nights) for one night before departing on safari. We were traveling with our 10-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son. This was the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate before beginning our safari adventure. The bungalows were clean and comfortable, and Joyce and her staff were so kind...

I stayed with Joyce Kimaro, the amazing hostess, with 19 other people on a study-abroad trip across Africa. It was where we stayed our first week in Tanzania (and in Africa!) and it was a relaxing and charming place to ease into our travels. The bandas are comfortable, and the bathrooms inside are very convenient. The grounds are beautiful, with...

After reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor, we spent a night at Songota Falls after four days of Safari and are so glad we did. Upon arriving, Joyce -- the charming owner -- greeted us with delicious ginger drinks (my husband, who loves his juice, said it was the best he's ever had). The grounds were beautiful and the...

Before and after a short safari in the Arusha region, we stayed six days at Songota Falls Lodge, and left with wonderful memories: the magnificent setting in the foothills of Mount Meru, the cosy rooms, beautifully kept grounds, and delightful dining area overlooking the hills and plains. The best souvenir, however, is Joyce Kimaro, with her great hospitality and her...

I had read all the posts and booked Songota Falls with Joyce- she is a great cook as all the post make note too. But just make sure that you know that only breakfast is included and that Lunch and Dinner are extra (alot extra) at the end of the night she requested payment which i was happy to do...

We stayed at Songota Falls Lodge relaxing between two safari's. In agreement with all of the other reviews, Joyce is wonderful. Her food is spectacular (much appreciated after our first safari's food) and her hospitality unmatched. Her son picked us up at the airport allowing for an easy and stress free arrival. If you are looking for a place outside...
