Though the hotel is nice and the personal always friendly it is not as special as it might have been one day. The location aged over the years and some kind of modernisation might be needed to keep up with other hotels - or completely old style, but then consistently. Our disappointment occurred at checkout. Though we were told at...

This was my second time staying at the Royal Swazi - it has very old world charm and you can imagine what it was in its glory days. The rooms are quite dated and all carpeted, not for the allergy prone. The grounds are quite beautiful as it is set on a golf course. Has a nice pool and gym...

The hotel is dated and reminded me of holidays taken with the family when I was a kid 30 years back. Full on carvery buffet; massive dessert trolley; stir-fry - But there is something honest about it that I enjoyed, and something that is not representative of hotels in South Africa these days. Yes, the decor is old, it is...

This hotel is better than some others in the area, but the rooms are quite dated and could do with a refurbishment. The spring outside is great to relax in, but the security guard kicks you out at 18:00(they should allow people to stay a bit longer). The gym is kind of inadequate and you have to pay, so don't...

Go to this hotel for the charming staff and the relaxed atmosphere and views. Its spacious and green for a mainstream hotel. Rooms are a bit faded but mine was reasonably comfy and quite large with an outdoor deck with nice views. Pool was decent sized, clean and empty in the morning. Food was reasonable, service a bit slow. We...

Tired looking bedroom, bathroom needed updating with new taps etc and new bath. No hairdryer in room, when phoned for one lady came and looked in every drawer agreeing there wasn't one. Said she would get one, nothing appeared during our one night stay. Nice dinner in a la carte restaurant. Breakfast was a fiasco, we sat outside had our...

We didn't stay at the hotel, but went to the spa for the day. The treatments and facilities were outstanding! Best facial I have ever had!!! Ate lunch at the pool restaurant and have to say the food was way below average, so don't recommend eating there, but the setting is stunning and the cocktails were delicious 😋

This was a real tranquil escape surrounded by a truly luxurious a Swazi surrounding. We enjoyed the stay tremendously. If using the Planters restaurant i would suggest you esquire as to the specification of Smart Casual, as there are different interpretation. This could avoid embarrassment.

Once glorious but now aged hotel, but hasn't adjusted prices for drop. The grounds are well maintained and definitely one of the better hotels in the area, but just needs to be refreshed. Still has the feel of an old colonial hotel which is cool. Rooms are spacious and clean. Hate it when hotels have bath shower and all rooms...
