Had a two week holiday in Sri Lanka starting from 17/10/2016. Our first stop after heading south from the Airport was a 2 day stay at the Lady hill. Quite a good area to start your holidays. The Hotel itself is small, pleasant, clean and based in a central area with easy access to the town centre. Checking in went... More

I stayed here for one night. the moment I arrived the receptionist kindly welcomed me with a beautiful smile! The room was clean (there was a water leak from the air conditioner but the staff fixed it as soon as I reported, thank you) Dinner and breakfast at the rooftop was amazing. delicious and great view. Great views of Galle from the higher floors and rooftop restaurant in this hotel. Rooms are small but have a contemporary style and are well appointed. A word of warning - don't make the mistake of walking up the wooden staircase. Although it isn't shown as such, this is a private area and you may set the dogs off! The... More

Lady Hill is said to be on the highest land in Galle. Indeed most, if not all rooms would have excellent views. The best view is from the rooftop restaurant where 360 degrees views are had. Our room was quite small, but we were pleased at the efficient use of the space. A balcony affords more space if needed. The... More

A lovely location and the restaurant on the roof gives a fabulous view as you eat your breakfast. We liked the quirky shaped swimming pool, and found the staff to be polite, helpful and charming. Easy walk to the Fort passing by all sorts of interesting spots. Would def. stay there again.

If you don't mind being woken up at 4.30am by chanting from the nearby mosque then this hotel isn't bad. Only one chair on the terrace of a double room and there isn't a lift. Staff were excellent. Also shortage of loungers around the pool. Breakfast was very good. Shame the hotel is let down by the noise

First timers as part of our Sri Lanka tour. Not disappointed and enjoyed all that was on offer. Swimming pool was refreshing. Evening meals and breakfast were fine, served from the roof top restaurant. Room was bright, clean and spacious with balcony view of the surrounding area.

Although I had dengue fever when I visited this hotel and thereby can't really comment on the food because of lack of appetite I found the reception by the staff to be very warm. The Ladyhill hotel has great views of the surrounding area, especially from the restaurant at the 5th floor. Note that there is no elevator, so it... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled atop the highest point of the ancient port city of Galle sits the Lady Hill Hotel, where you will be overwhelmed by the breathtaking and panoramic “Bird’s Eye View” of the lush green countryside stretching from the tea covered slopes of the Southern foothills all the way down to merge with the brilliant blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Located in close proximity to the city’s pulsating heart and to some of the best beaches in the Island, yet secluded enough to offer a measure of tranquility and serenity, that the discerning traveler eagerly looks forward to after a weary bout of sightseeing and exploration. Thereby, adhering to the watchwords “Lose yourself in the Experience and not in the Crowd”.Entering the portals of the Lady Hill, one is treated to an architectural edifice, echoing the legacy of the ancient Colonial Dutch period, from the imposing entrance archway, down to the natural cobblestone floor. However, as you progress through the lobby, where you will be greeted with the traditional Sri Lankan welcome of “AYUBOWAN”, which translates as “May You Have Long Life”, you notice a subtle but appreciative change in the conceptual idea. You will be ushered to your room via a rustic granite stone stairway, flanked by a strip of fresh water fish ponds and upon entering your room, will be amazed to find that you have been transported from the past into the future within the space of a few short ticks of the clock. The rooms are furnished with ultra modern futuristic style décor and posses state of the art facilities and amenities which are all that you, as an honored guest, could possibly hope for. ... more   less
