Stayed at Kikili for a night last week having not been to Galle for some time. Instantly obvious why I love it so much. Totally unique; from postcards in the bathroom ("I'm a celebrant get me out of here" - will make sense when you see it) to the amazing colours all around the house. Laid-back but ultra-helpful staff on... More

Kikili House truly is the 'home away from home'! Quirky, warming and fun, I instantly felt comfortable. Hen, Koki and the team were welcoming throughout my stay making me feel completely at ease, something I needed with it being my first time in Sri Lanka. My room was spacious and clean, including personal decoration and touches including a beach bag... More

We stayed at Kikili for two nights and wished it had been longer. As soon as we arrived it felt like home, the décor of the house is amazing with so much to look at and enjoy. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Bob the dog! The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka, delicious home made... More

Easily within walking distance of downtown Galle, Kikili House was a cool haven of tranquillity. It's basically a house converted into a small (5 bedroom ?) hotel. Lovely veranda which catches the breeze, sitting rooms/areas and a rear garden. Honesty bar from the fridge. Make yourself a cuppa and relax - it's just like being at home. Rooms are comfortable,... Chintz and colour! That's what struck us first of all for kikili house. It felt like a real honest to goodness English B&B! Our room was small, with a high four poster bed, ac, fan and mosquito net. The bed was wonderfully soft with sheet and bedspread and amazing pillows! There were all sorts of little extras in the room... More

We have just come back from a fabulous holiday in Sri Lanka and Kikili House was certainly one of the highlights of our stay! The staff are incredibly friendly and the Chef/Tuk-Tuk Driver/All round hero is a great host... thanks for taking us to the spice shop! We'd highly recommend a stay here and we'd definitely head back to the... More

Kikili House is quite rightly highly rated. It is really pretty, very comfortable and Henri, the proprietress, is charming. The attention to detail is exemplary. However, there were a few aspects which caught me by surprise, which I wanted to share. 1) Location: Kikili House describes itself to be in the 'heart of Galle'. If, like most tourists, you consider... More

We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Galle - great breakfasts, helpful staff and a comfortable bed! The house is really lovely and with access to communal lounge and dining areas it really does feel like a home. It is really inviting. We were the only guests for our three nights stay and we were...
