If you are looking for a genuine homestay with wonderfully hospitable hosts then this is the place for you. The house is like being in a museum with many pieces of memorabilia. The food was of course all prepared in house and using local produce. Our room was very basic with a tiny bathroom - more like one you would...

If you decide to stay here you will not feel you are a in a hotel or even a guest house. This 350 year old colonial house is just as charming as his lovely owner Kodi and his wife. The house is full of objects and photos that evoke old family memories. The food is delicious and abundant. It was...

We booked Beatrice House as there wasn't much else available in the Fort area & given the decent reviews. It's a beautiful old house in a great location however it's not in a condition to warrant the ratings it gets. We stayed in the upstairs apartment. We didn't have our own key to get in & out of BH &...

I really can't say too many nice things about the wonderful couple who run Beatrice House. They were incredibly welcoming and so generous with their time. They recommended the best places for us to go/eat, chatted with us about the area, and made us so many lovely cups of tea. The house is located on a quite street right in...

The 350 year old house was amazing in terms of atmosphere and location as was the host - Kodi who was a very warm and hospitable host indeed. Set right in the old fortress town, it was an easy walk to view the sights of this old fortress town as well as the fantastic sun set and local restaurants. The...

I absolutely loved this place. We only stayed one night unfortunately, but this was the perfect homestay. It is a beautiful traditional house on a lovely street in the old part of Galle. Very easy to get to and walking distance from everything else (since Galle is so small and walkable). There were three of us, so they gave us...

This B&B is essentially someone's house, in which rooms are rented out. It is in a great location in the middle of the fort area of Galle, but on a quiet street so not hordes of tourists passing by. Our room had access to its own front door by passing through another small room. The bedroom was not big enough...

A nice guesthouse in Galle city centre. Good location near the ramparts (very suggestive walk at sunrise), but far (20 minutes walk) from bus station. Large and clean room with bed & mosquito net, fan (NO AC) and small attached bathroom with shower. Quite expensive (€ 37 for the single room with breakfast). Free Wifi. Excellent breakfast (egg hoppers, fresh...

What a hidden gem this house is, in the perfect location in the fort which is such a peaceful and beautiful place. We were hosted very well and got some great tips for the food and for our further travels.
