We stayed in Shangri-Lanka Villa for one night coming to the end of our two week stay in Sri Lanka. Our only regret is not finding it earlier in our travels and having more time there.
The grounds, pool and garden were beautifully maintained and...More
This was our third visit to Shangri Lanka Villa and we were delighted to find that it was just as good as ever. The staff was virtually unchanged from last year - always the sign of a happy and well run establishment. Thank you so...More
I initially intended to stay in Shangrilanka villas in 2014, however they didn't have enough availability so I put my holiday and wedding back by a year. How glad I am that I waited. This place is like a little slice of heaven - beautiful,...More

This small guesthouse is a little paradise. Rohan, the other owner, is the sweetest and welcoming host and a very good cook. Karen, the other owner, can give you good tips and arrange trips to local little places or further to historical Galle or whale-watching...More

In May the small cheap beach restaurants like Bentota Rock will probably not be open just short term rents with different people running then month to month. The main places like Wunderbar, Amal villa, Diya Sisilia will be open but are not cheap.
Direct booking with half board is best option as May has special rates as it is considered monsoon although it doesn't always rain and definitely not like an Indian monsoon. Almost all hotels offer special half board rates so restaurants are usually closed or very quiet.
