We stayed here 3 nights. The hotel room is super. We booked the standard double and it had the Japanese toilet, some free drinks in the minibar and a jacuzzi (with disco lights). The bed was really comfortable. The best bed we had in Korea. And a large TV, if you need that in Gyeongju (I don't think so). They...

We stayed here for 3 nights during the blossom festival and (despite the weather being terrible) had a super stay. The staff are really helpful with a good level of english. The room was spotless with great facilities and loads of extra cosmetics (a common feature of love hotels). We even managed to get some laundry done - detergent included....

Motels in Korea are designed for a specific purpose. Sugar motel lived up to the expectation by offering a spacious, comfortable room with jacuzzi at a great price. The only negative is the smell of cigarette in the room. Lots of lovely place to visit in and outside the city.

We stayed there for two nights and it was perfect for visiting Gyeongju. Personnel is very nice and helpful, they even propose to bring you back to the train station if you stay at least 2 nights. We took a standard deluxe and there was a nice spa inside. Indeed it's a love hotel as stated in previous comments but...

Firstly, I chose this hotel for its proximity to the bus station (there's no need if there's 3 adults in your group because it is cheaper to get to most close by places by taxis) The high speed train bus stops nearby and if you wanted to get a bus to the Museum or Bulguksa Temple and Seoguram, it is...

This was my 4th visit to the Sugar Motel. I last visited two years ago. It is still the best value for money budget hotel we have stayed in during our three and a half years in Korea. The rooms are a good size, clean, comfortable and well equipped (sauna, jacuzzi bath, toiletries) and the owner and his daughter go...

Very good value for money. Spacious room. Small breakfast was brought to your room. Very convenient location to bus terminals and city center. Not very much English is spoken. But most of the questions you might ask are answered on a leaflet in your room. They provide an email adress to send your requests to in English and normally get...

Well located - good budget base for Gyeongju and the areas sights. Slightly dated room interiors, but very high tech in its time (circa 2000?), for us a great insight into the love hotels of South Korea. The room was large, very clean and the breakfast options great. We had a free lift to the train station upon departure.

We stayed here for couple of nights whilst exploring Gyeongju. Surprisingly this budget hotel had quite complete amenities in the room. We took taxi from Shingyeongju station (the new ktx station) and it took us about 15 minutes. We got offered free laundry or free shuttle to station (for min stay 2 nights), so we opted for free laundry. I...

issue breakfast Our breakfast is cooked to suit the tastes of Koreans or Asians. Because we are Korean and Asian. So, Korean or Asian says that it was a great breakfast Compared with the cost. We are a budget motel. To satisfy people around the world with those low costs is really difficult to make the good breakfast. issue in...

Chose Sugar Motel after reading the reviews here, which were useful to get an idea about the hotel, which is in a good location. There are a lot of similar hotels in this part of town, not all of them represented on TripAdvisor, and we suspected that you could turn up to any of them without much trouble. But the...
