We stayed in this hotel for 1 night only with a package tour. Our room is huge with kitchen area, fridge and a comfortable living room. Shower & toilet are separate so it is kind of convenient for a small family to stay. The room was clean ; and the buffet breakfast next morning was pretty good with a variety of food -- especially nice for the cool weather in November.
This place is an out of the way condominium. There were only hand towels in the bathroom and no toiletries , tea , coffee or water. Rooms were good size with 2 bedrooms and a lounge but air conditioning didn't work and were in need of some TLC. Reception quite unhelpful, pool being renovated and no dining oportunities
Stayed only one night in a beautiful 2 bedroom suite with Hubby and our friend. It was a kitchenette unit with a living area and private bath. The view was beautiful. It was a bit far from the action for us. We had to take buses and taxis into the main historic sites. But the resort itself had an outdoor swimming pool and convenience store. It was geared towards families really. Another hard bed, but it was manageable.
The rooms in this gigantic property are large! They are also very old, but our room was clean and adequate for a night's sleep. A balcony overlooking the faraway lights of the city was nice. It's a pity it wasn't closer to the said city - it's in the middle of nowhere, and was crammed with busloads of school groups who noisily entered and ran around the grounds. Free wifi is available, but only in the foyer of the building. There is a large swimming pool (empty at the time of year we were there) and a great looking kids' pool area. Dining was within the complex or at adjoining properties - a few takeaway places and a couple of restaurants. We got a terrific pizza from across the road. There are no bath towels provided - drying a large body with two hand towels is a bit of an experience! Lol. Pretty basic place to stay, with no amusements, no night life and nowhere to go, but was fine for a one night stay. Not top notch, but not disgusting. Breakfast was good in the adjoining building. Cute little coffee/cake shop there, and also a well stocked convenience store. Not a tourist mecca, but brilliant for schools on excursions!…
This property was included in or Nexus holiday. We were on the top floor and the view was pretty good. A very old condo - two bedrooms lounge/kitchen and bathroom. There was no microwave so you could not zap a TV dinner that you could purchase at the onsite convenience store. Previous guests have smoked in the room as the odor still lingered. The air con in the bedroom was very efficient however, the main one in the lounge was very ineffective. Dinner options very very limited - a pub buffet, BBQ chicken shop along the lines of KFC and a Korean BBQ restruarant. Five hand towels were provided to dry yourself with after a shower. Also, no toiletries were provided. Breakfast was adequate.
We stayed here for one night while on a Nexus Holiday tour of South Korea. There is two buildings and we obviously got the older one. A two bedroom apartment with a double bed in one room and a mattress on the floor in the second bedroom. No glasses to drink out of. No toiletries and the towels that were supplied were the size of a hand towel. There is a convenience store on site. Dinner options are limited. This hotel is out of town so you are unable to look around the township so there is nothing to do at night. If I was travelling independently I would choose to stay at a more centrally located hotel.
There are two buildings, I drew the short straw and got the older building. It is very dated and quite basic. Two bedrooms one with a 'real' bed the other with a mattress on the floor. Large living room and a kitchen with an old stove and basic cooking utensils. Bathroom really grotty with shower over bath which sprayed water on the floor. Place was dirty and overall rather depressing. Breakfast was so-so. One big plus (unrelated to the accommodation) was the excellent buffet dinner at Ashley's across the way.
We stayed here for 2 nights during our Gyeongju Tour. I travelled with family, including my brother in law who was a local. The rooms are spacious - we had a 2 bedroom unit and all 7 of us were able to sleep fine, with room for our luggage to spare. From what my sister told me (she can speak Korean and have travelled to similar facilities in Gyeongju before), we were in charge of maintaining the cleanliness of the unit, and there's no room service, so we had to clean and take the trash out ourselves. Okay. We were first sent to the older part of the complex, and the room that was given to us was musty. The bathroom was clean, but the slightly yellowed tiles gave away the age of the unit. The floors felt weird, too, and it had some tacky feeling on it. The worst was the lock to the main door was not working, so we had to request for a new room. Thankfully, the second room looked a lot cleaner, although the lighting was a bit sad and gloomy. The only amenities we checked out were the arcade area and the pool area. The pool had hot water but "meh" presentation. The arcade had few, and outdated games. The consoles were not maintained, too, so the controls sucked and some of them ate our 500 won. We didn't stay a lot in the hotel, but my sister said the place was not as nice as the other similarly themed hotels in the area. I don't have any other experiences like her, but my impression of Hanwha is of similar dislike.…
Booked in as part of our Tour through South Korea. It is part of a huge complex that offers Spa & Sports. We had 2 bedroom & a living room with cooking facilities. Nice spacious & clean but in need of serious renovation - very tired looking furniture & fittings. Like many Korean family Hotel/Apartment there aren't any toiletteries; just a bar of soap in bathroom & only 4 hand towels on offer - no both towels! No coffee or tea bags. No Wifi in room & only slow unreliable service in lobby & restaurant. Very effective heating but can get stuffy - had to leave windows open overnight to sleep. Well stocked 24 hr convenient store next to lobby & restaurant. Reasonable buffet breakfast. Not suitable for fly in to rest & relax in comfort type hotel, more suited for local families.
Totally worst. No air-conditioned, no toiletries provided just provide 5 hand towels. Cleanliness worst which super dusty and with spider web. Feel scary. Not all the room had wifi connection. The building was old.
