I want to let you know how disappointed I am in Hotel Homers. I booked the high 18th floor king size bedroom sea view, the best room from what I can tell. The location and view are amazing! However the quality is very poor! Hotel Homers is FILTHY DIRTY with BLACK MOLD growing in the shower, sink area, and windows. The smell of mold was strong and even caused my wife and I to react as we are both allergic to mold. The drains for the plumbing have no p-traps so the smell of sewer and mold comes up freely through the drains to fill the room with sewage gasses and smells. I was disappointed that the windows were dirty, what an amazing view from the eighteenth floor that was distorted with dirty windows. The bed was just ok, old outdated couch’s and furniture in the room. We booked the room for 243,000 won and we were told that if we use the tooth brush and tooth paste we would be charged, really? A four star hotel charging for a tooth brush? You really have to be crazy to charge 2,000 per toothbrush and 1,000 for toothpaste. I have traveled and stayed in many places all over Asia ( over 9 countries in Asia ) and all over South Korea and have never been changed for a tooth brush. Also they do not provide was washcloths for shower but offer a washcloth for charge?? What is this hotel thinking? Hotel Homers is in need of serious cleaning, the carpets are so filthy, stained and utterly gross! Even the parking garage has so much accumulated dirt and filth. Now let’s talk about the breakfast that I paid extra 20,000 for, what a joke! A very poor selection of very cheap bland food, the food in the warmers was cold. They offer coffee in a cheap paper cup! Is that what four star hotels do? I’ve never ever seen that before. And to top it all off—— clean your own table when you’re finished? 4 Star?? NO WAY!!!! (2 star at very best, only because of location and view) The location is amazing!! Hotel Homers has so much potential, with some detail to cleanliness, some minor updates, offer the basics at no extra fees and upgrade the food service, they would deserve a four star rating. I could only give them 1 1/2 stars now and that’s due to location and view. Disappointed!…
Shared a room with 2 teenage daughters, very comfortable, albeit dated rooms. the location is unbeatable - bit of a walk from the nearest metro station, but worth it for the beach frontage, views and bars & restaurants on our doorstep. After visiting the more well know Haeundae beach in Busan, Gwangali beach is far better with water front dining and FAR cheaper. Staff were courteous and when we realized my daughter had left her K-pop albums in a drawer after we left, the hotel immediately posted them back to Australia for us - amazing! The hotel's sauna (read: traditional Korean bath house) is a must. This was better than those I'd tried in Seoul & half the price. Gorgeous setting with the pools overlooking the beach and for those that aren't afraid of nudity & staff who only speak Korean, the body scrub was sensational & included a cucumber facial & massage!…
I spent one week at Homers Hotel and had a wonderful experience. I have no complaints about anything, only compliments. Everything from the friendliness of the staff, hotel’s location, Wifi, hotel facilities were perfect. I did not discover the fitness center until the last two days of my stay but it is world class. On my last day I even had the 1.5 hour Thai massage which was one of the best I have ever had. My room was perfect with a great view of the ocean. The staff was always there to help me with anything request I had. I cannot say enough nice things about my stay here. I think of Homers Hotel more as a resort than hotel. The location is right on the beach in the perfect location, close to everything. I will return to Busan next year and already am looking forward to staying here. …
Great location but had an overall bad experience. To start, the location is great because we had a direct view of the beach and the beach that lights up at night. First trip to Busan, but instead of staying at Haeundae, chose this area specifically for this reason. What killed the experience for me was the staff... they were just there to do their job of checking people in and out. Weren't friendly at all... made me instantly regret booking here. Hated their bathroom... just didn't feel clean and was very dated. The shower has these jet streams but was more of a nuisance because all the controls were confusing. I asked for a non-smoking room and can tell that someone smoked in this room before. Staff didn't care about my concerns I brought up and pretty much told me it is what it is. This hotel should be classified as a budget hotel. I felt like I got the bait n switch. If I come back to Busan in the future, I think I'll probably find a place in Haeundae.…
I have stayed in this 4 Star hotel as wedding anniversary with my wife. When i just walked into the room, I have faced at this fantastic view! It was awesome! Room was large enough, very Korean style floor without carpet. It was very okay till 3 o’clock in the morning. Somehow, we could hear drainage sound and dragging chair from upstairs very loudly. I did not make any complaint in middle of nights. Worst was the breakfast. Food and drinks were without name cards. I have went to juice station and grab a glass. And i felt very sticky from the glass. I looked at it and found that those glasses were never polished by lazy servers. Hot food cloche were opened so food were very cold. Basically staffs here, they never smiles to the guests.
Loved my room: spacious, modern, clean. Loved the wood floor. The location can't be beat, right there on the beach. Wonderful breakfast buffet in a nice room! This review would've gotten 5 stars from me if I had been able to get my air conditioner to work. As it was, it was very hot in the room; windows open at night to let in the sea breezes but there was no "breeze" to be had during the unseasonably warm day. Also TV remote and TV guide has no English translation so I was never able to watch anything! Otherwise loved this hotel and would go back in a heartbeat.
Rooms are large and clean though a little dated. They are not very sound proof either. Bathrooms are dated but clean. The showers are amazingly strong! The staff are very friendly. Location is perfect for the beach and good restaurants, and views. For the price I would say a good choice.
The hotel is just across the road from the beach and in the centre of the bars and restaurants. Check in went very smooth and the staff were very courteous. I stayed with my wife and daughter in a twin room with one double bed and one single bed, The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The only complaint i have about the room is the fact there was no wardrobe. 2 hooks with 4 clothes hangers on the wall is hardly enough for one person let alone two or three that might stay in a twin room. The WiFi was good and the breakfast was nice. All in all a good hotel for the price but i think once you see the price of the higher grade rooms then it is not as good as the big named hotels in the area,
This hotel is located near the Gwangan Beach. The ocean view rooms cammand a good view of Gwangan Bridge. There are saunas for men and wemen, and a wedding hall. The room is dry due to a strong ceiling heater.
Fantastic BIG SPACIOUS ROOM facing the sea view. Nearby cafes, eateries and brightly lighted shops spread across the whole stretch of road. Convenient to find food and entertainment. I have a room facing the sea view and can see the Diamond Bridge from the window. In the room, there are several 2 pin ROUND sockets for charging handphones and use of lap top if you are on business trip. As a 4* Hotel, surprised they do not provide complimentary toothbrush/ toothpaste. Luckily I brought extra set for my room mate. The room configuration is 1 Single + 1 Double Bed + extra side table / chair. This type of room is good for family with children. Had buffet dinner at the hotel restaurant - standard spread of dishes include kimchi, side dishes, etc enuf to fill your stomach. Complimentary coffee available from the coffee making machine.…
