The Paradise Hotel in Haeundae is a fully equipped resort hotel with everything one would need for a nice holiday by the beach.

The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. We stayed in a corner room with two king-size beds (4 people) in the annex building and enjoyed the room very much.

Service is excellent, room service is responsive and they really do their best to cater to all our needs although sometimes there were expectations we had that they did not quite relate to, probably due to a cultural difference.

The hotel has a great variety of restaurants although food is generally quite expensive compared to the surrounding area.

The location is perfect with hundreds of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The Haeundae Metro station is also reasonably close.

The beach in front of the hotel is stunning with big waves (but sometimes overenthusiastic lifeguards).

Kids facilities were absolutely amazing, and we had to tear our smallest kid crying away from some of the facilities.

There were some things that were definitely different from what we would have expected, however.

We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children, specifying their ages. Upon arrival, we were provided with a room having only one king-sized bed, even though it was clearly stated on the website that the room would fit four people. The front desk staff did not at first sympathize with the fact that our kids would need beds but in the end provided us with a satisfactory solution, although after quite a bit of haggling and misundestandings.

The pool area was nice, with beautiful views and sunbeds. However it is too small and quite crowded and strangely, it is cleared out a couple of times per day so that it's only possible to visit during certain "blocks" of time.

The staff at the hotel did not understand the concept of a beach towel, which was a bit of a surprise to us but on the beach apparently Koreans don't use towels. They provided some towels but felt the request was very strange.

This is a lovely hotel with every amenity. The location is exactly on the beach with great views, and a real highlight is the spa area with multiple pools and which are open into the evening. I also enjoyed the breakfast with a great selection of choices. The only surprise was that the most inexpensive glass of house wine in the lobby bar was $30 US dollars, which would make buying a round prohibitive! Otherwise, it's a lovely hotel, and I should note that the minibar in the room is not expensive at all.

We stayed here on two weekdays to avoid the weekend crowd. We booked through Amex FHR. All the benefits were explained and honored. We picked Paradise based on location as it was right on the beach.

We arrived by car and the parking was easy. There are two buildings (Main and Annex). We booked our room in the Main building and were "upgraded" to the Annex. I am not so sure it is an "upgrade" in our books for two reasons. First, we understand the Main building is the older building, it has been remodeled where the annex has never been remodeled. Secondly, which is the part where we feel it wasn't an upgrade to us, is the breakfast buffet. The main building and annex have two separate buffets and guess cannot go to the other building for buffets. The main building buffet was much bigger and had a lot more food choices. The hotel needs to allow guests to pick their preferred breakfast restaurant.

The room was clean but kind of outdated. We did not swim but the pool seems to be always crowded.

The breakfast buffet was great although I wish there were more selections. The chef (only one guy there cooking) cooks well. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent.

The dinner buffet was also pretty good and worth a try. The service was great. The only thing to be aware of is that on weekend nights, they have two shifts so you can't take your time. We went on a Sunday and got there maybe 25 minutes after they opened, so we felt kind of rushed.

Sungwon from the front desk was very helpful when I asked for recommendations on where to go. He asked for my phone and helped me mark all the spots in Naver. Very friendly and cheerful guy.

To be honest, I think the whole experience is somewhere between a 4 or 5 star for us, but the staff kind of pushed it towards a 5.

We spent four nights in this low end five star property first impressions are of a huge sprawling hotel the initial greeting from the door personnel was cool to say the least and not very welcoming. Checkin and out was better being friendly and efficient as was baggage handling although they wanted to charge 55000 Korean won per hour for a late checkout!!!!! .Self parking is complimentary but the spaces are very tight even with all vehicles being within the lines we had to struggle to get out of the car without hitting a neighbouring vehicle. Our room (1202) , a corner room was a reasonable size with two balconies and a very attractive view of the ocean , but was very dated -(the hotel has built an annex with apparently better rooms possibly that are more modern) - I wish we had known that prior to booking the main building room .That aside our bathroom reflected the room , it was smallish and very old fashioned with a horrible shower curtain instead of a full screen or better still a cubicle , and poor water pressure from a shower handle located in the bath which could be attached to the wall but was too low for someone of my height (6 .1 ) toiletries are pump action and adequate but some items are on a mini bar system and chargeable such as toothbrushes. The bed was comfortable but there are not any power sockets near the bed in fact there is a real shortage of sockets in the room I disconnected a side light too change my laptop and phone . Housekeeping was adequate the room was very clean linen was bright white and fresh , towels also but are only medium quality as are the robes . There is a breakfast option which we didn’t take advantage of as reports were not very good and during a Quick Look in the restaurant it didn’t seem very appealing . Externally there are some very nice facilities a pool ,, which for reasons of management convenience or economy of staffing they clean and close mid afternoon rather than cleaning early morning when guests are asleep as other hotels do . There are also complimentary natural hot springs complex on ‘the property and a superb gym . My wife and I are fortunate that we travel
Extensively , approximately six months of the year spent overseas ,generally staying in 5 star accommodation this property definitely is sub standard from the room point of view but what you are buying is primarily the location on a nice beach , the view , the hot springs and proximity to the main streets with shops , restaurants and fountain and flower displays. In short for the price point it’s not a bad deal but we still wouldn’t come back to this hotel .

Be careful if you book through third parties including American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts program. The hotel will “upgrade” you to Annex building and have breakfast at the lounge (bad quality and limited selection) instead of the buffet restaurant at main building. Pretty dirty and nasty tricks for a five star hotel.

I really fell for the photos but they are a poor representation of what the rooms truly look like at Paradise Busan. This is the oldest hotel on the beach front and NOT the 5 star hotel it portrays to be. The rooms, bathroom, carpet & furniture are extremely old and dated. The worst of it all is that the room we got smelled like SEWAGE. The pictures of this hotel room is complete false advertisement, I would say based on the city view room I stayed in was at most a 2.5-3 star standard. Our outlets were also not working and they then upgraded us to a ocean front room. The carpet was way cleaner and the views were great but it is still not a 5 star hotel. The staff, I would have to say was great, friendly and very attentive and the lobby was updated. The hotel did not have a legitimate bartender/mixologist and the drinks were subpar. The cimer spa is NOT adults only which was surprising to me and there were a lot of kids running around and it was incredibly busy and not relaxing at all. I would never stay here ever again.

We stayed here during the BTS concert in Busan and booked the BTS package. Not cheap, but the hotel is definitely value for your money.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff, at every time of the day (we had a problem at night and it was quickly solved).
Very spacious and comfortable room with fantastic beds. We also loved the layout of the room and the use of lots of glass to keep it light and open.
The lounge is definitely worth visiting if it is included in your package, great snacks and desserts.
Top location, directly at Haeundae Beach.
We didn't make use of the pool, but this seemed a bit crowded.
One remark though, if you announce that the lounge bar is open until midnight, it doesn't really make sense to have the last order at 11pm and refuse people that arrive at 11:30 pm. It is only a drink, It doesn't take an hour to make it.

The Paradise Hotel in Busan is an iconic landmark, just meters away from the beautiful Haeundae beach. We stayed in the renovated ocean view junior suite and experienced wonderful service and use of facilities. Even though it was winter, we went to the outdoor heated pools and enjoyed the sauna and pool cafe. But the most impressive part was the unobstructed ocean view from the pools. We will return again for sure! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.

This is truly a fantastic hotel and worth everyone one of it's 5 stars. So good we actually went back for another night to take advantage of the sunny weather that day.

I'll start with the rooms. We had a sea view room and this hotel seems to be the only on the strip that has balconies which offered amazing views of the beach and out to sea. So nice to sit out and have a glass of whatever and watch the world go by.
The bed was very cosy and comfortable and the room although not huge, was a good size. It had everything you needed. My only criticism is the slightly hit and miss shower.

Facilities: the hot springs are nice and relaxing, although they could get full of posers in the evening, which for some westerners could get a little uncomfortable. But nice all the same. The swimming pool was nice as well, if a little on the shallow side for me.

It does have some nice restaurants but be warned they are not cheap, so we went into town. I'm sure they serve top notch food though. We loved the NYX bar, do check that out.

Staff: They are ultra nice to guests and always try to do their best for you. I know it's custom in Korea but it was very nice to see regardless. Room service was great if a little on the expensive side.

Overall this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and one we will never forget.

This hotel is modern, comfortable, and spacious. We stayed on the 12th floor with an ocean view and it's right in the middle of the beach with a complete 180-degree view encompassing the entire beach. I could have sat on the balcony and just soaked it in all day but there is much more here than just that.

The room is spacious and comfortable and the bed is fantastic. The mattress is on the softer side and the pillows are the best I've used. It has all modern amenities and toiletries are provided too. This is a luxury hotel it does not disappoint.

We never bothered to turn on the TV so I can't say anything about the programming and such but why would you watch TV when you have such an incredible view of the ocean on the balcony.

We did not get room service but we did have friends that stayed and they ordered and said the food was very good albeit a little pricy. The pool area is really nice too.

Now that all the gushing is out of the way there are a few things that you might want to keep in mind. First, the pool area and all that encompasses closes at 8 PM so no soaking in the jacuzzi after a let dinner. The one sofa/chair (except the desk chair) in the room is also a fold-out bed and it was not all that comfortable to sit on and only one person can use it so unless you are alone someone is left sitting on the bed or in the desk chair which was just a plain old chair.
There is a minibar and a hot water pot with some instant coffee and tea packets.

Hi there, Is there any airport shuttle bus to the hotel? Thank you.
Answer from Palerock
Rauma, Finland39 contributions4 helpful votes
There is an airport shuttle bus, that tours the hotels in the Haeundae area. The route is from Domestic Airport -> International Airport -> Westin Chosun -> Novotel -> Paradise -> Return to the Airports. I dont remember the cost, but it is far cheaper than taking a taxi. And the seats are very comfortable and wide.

This isn't a jjimjilbang, so swimsuits are required in the Cimer spa area. The Cimer area has multiple hot tubs at different temperatures, but it is all outdoors so it would depend on how cold tolerant you are whether or not using it in December would work. I think it's be awesome, personally. As for tattoos, I have several and did not have a problem, but Koreans do tend to dress more modestly (i.e., long sleeved shirts) in the pool areas. I do not think there would be an issue with tats, but if it is truly concerning, you could email the hotel to ask. There is a traditional western spa/sauna where you can get massages that I did not visit, so I do not know specifics about that.
