As a small independent hotel this does not have the 'extras' of a five star - which is why we chose it. i had hoped for a more intimate experience than the anonymous five stars which abound on Mahe - and I was not disappointed. By the time we left i felt i could describe the

I really don’t know why there are some bad reviews and unjustified low rating for this resort. The staff here were so nice and helpful. The resort offers a luxurious atmosphere, with infinity pool, sundecks, and gorgeous views of the ocean. There are a 3+ stars rooms ( with

The hotel is fairly small (30+ rooms), located on top of a small hill in a quiet area. It takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the beach, however the hills are steep, and it will be difficult for people that are not “normally fit” to move around. The hotel operates a shuttle service

First you have to get to the resort entry and this depends in which villa you are accommodated. For example, in an application on my mobile after a day of staying in the resort but with 2 exits to the beach, going to pool, going to restaurant in the morning, in the evening, maybe some other not important walks, the flights climbed were 35 floors. The distances are short but the difference in elevation is high. For sure there are pathways that can be used also by electric carts. From the exit of the resort you have to walk on the road, btw no sidewalks, for about 50m to get to the entrance for beach, another 20m thru the trees and you are on the beach. Not easy but not a torture. You can not walk to Kempinski’s without entering in the water and that depends of the tide, of the waves. There are like 2 groups of rocks to cross. We were not interested because we were happy with the beach as it was. No beach beds. Not crowded. A lot of people are coming by car, tourists or locals, having small barbecues. The beach is spectacular and it was our favorite from what we saw on Mahe. If you want to walk by road to Kempinski ‘s is much worse, up and down a few hills and a lot of kilometers! Don’t do it! We also had a car rented and we reached the farthest point of the beach by car and still it seemed to be too long. It is true in that corner the water was calm and the beach very nice but still it is not worthy.
