This was my second stay at Akkotel, in ancient Akko, Israel. This boutique hotel is a marvel of restoration - built into the antique Ottoman Turkish walls surrounding the Old City, it has been restored inside and out. Lovely details like exposed tufa brick archways adorn the hotel and rooms. Clean, quiet, a hearty breakfast provided as well as restaurant...

set in a old authentic building in the old wall of the city, and run by a super nice family - it this hotel has loads of potential. but- unfortunately , it doesn't quite live up to it. The decor is gloomy - not authentic or oriental, just in poor taste. there are not views and the restoration succeeded in...

We arrived at the hotel easily and parked next to the front door: officially and under video surveillance 24/7!! We were received by one of the owner Morani brothers, who introduced us to Acre & the hotel, in a fascinating chat over coffee. The room was clean, handsome modern bathroom and TV etc. The decor shows off the stone walls...

I stayed there on business. A group of four. All seperate rooms. Very clean, to the point of perfect. Not a spec of dust anywhere. Check in was fine, lots of history in the hotel. Breakfast is a self service style arabic meze. Just what you need in a morning to set you off for the day. Regretably we only...

Visited Akko with friends who have stayed at this hotel before. The owner/proprietor greeted them as long lost friends. And it remained a wonderful experience. The room was clean, well appointed. The breakfast was terrific. And the owner full of stories. We even had dinner on the outdoor roof terrace. All in all it was magical.

Situated in the heart of the picturesque Old City Akko, this very elegant hotel provides you with excellent rooms, fantastic buffet breakfast with the occasional expresso coffee delight in the morning. The owner and staff are wonderful and upon request you can get appetizers or more on the roof top overlooking the Old City and the Bay. We spent 7...

A unique place fully restored. A corner room and family rooms are outstanding Great personal service. Very clean and quiet. A special tip Ask the owner to have dinner on the roof, the food is great and views are amazing.

Akkotel is situated in an Ottoman-era building that used to be a courthouse and before that a school. The hotel retains much of this old-world character but happily lacks the rough edges that sometimes accompany this kind of venerable establishment. It is not especially cheap but worthwhile if you are looking to explore the Old City of Acre. Indeed, Akkotel...

This place perfectly combines old world and new world, giving a person an unforgettable experience. If you are looking for a place to stay in Akko (Acre) this is it. When can you say you stayed in an ancient city wall along the sea?

I travel quite often, I would definitely put this hotel at the top of my list. Not only did it provide us with everything we hope for in a reputable hotel, but it exceeded our expectations by far. From the location, food, amazing staff, safety, comfort, beautiful and clean rooms, to the unique style of the hotel itself. A lot...
