Mbalata (sometimes spelled Mbolata) beach is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. A wonderful spot to read, swim, and relax. Francisco's cooking is excellent - fresh and as he reminds us, organic. Grilled fish, vegetables, rice, and of course pancakes for breakfast. The cottages are situated in a beautiful bay, surrounded by Mt Inerie to the east and hills to the west....

We only spent one night here and arrived in the dark, so unfortunately did not get to experience the afternoon sunset overlooking the ocean. We made up for it with a beach walk and swim in the morning - very enjoyable and relaxing. We felt very welcomed by Benjamin who met us at our car in the dark and helped...

We loved this place so much that we actually stayed here two times during our 14-day Flores trip. First time was on the way from Labuan Bajo to Larantuka and second time was on the way back to Labuan Bajo (we rented a bike in Labuan Bajo so have to come back after the trip to give back the bike)....

We were excited when we found this place in 2013 whilst researching our trip across Flores. it sounded just the sort of place we like and during our 4 nights there we weren't disappointed. Being only about an hour from Bajawa (towards Ruteng) it is in a great location to break up the normal Trans Flores route Contact in advance...

Unlike other reviewers we didn't receive any offers of guides or service. The setting is lovely, a long stretch of beach framed by mountains, but the rooms are shabby, single bed and a mattress on the floor, no hot water, no power during the day... At first they wanted 400,000rp, but we refused to pay that much. Dinner was a...

After a wonderfull trekking to Belaragi we had to look for a place to stay the night. Already when it was dark we arrived at this beautiful place were 6 bungalows are situated near the seaside. People are friendly so much and the home cooking is delicious. Fransisco has a great attitude towards eco tourism and involves the local people...
