Clean and Nice room and smell good. Comfortable bed with clean bedsheets. Good furniture but look very old and need replacement. Bathroom very good in toiletries set, but look very and need replacement. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious buffet breakfast. Very near to Masjid Agung until you can hear they recite AlQuran before each Azan prayer. Near to Sogo... More

It has been there since I was in highschool..The hotel has changed managements several times and still working out to get its attached apartment ready since longtime overdue. I stayed in this place to attend a conference that held in the convention center. When we enter this place , the first impression was the old building . The lobby, dinning room and bed room need more refurbishment, but they' re clean enough and the staff realy helpful. The value of the food they served was average but if... More

We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights just recently and it was an average experience at best. The staff are very friendly and efficient however, the menu selection (both room service and restaurant) is very limited. We dined out most of the time except for breakfast. The breakfast selection....2 thumbs up. The hotel is situated a stones throw away (3mins... More

They have a big workout room with old fitness equipment but complete and they have aero fighter class for free for all hotel guest. We stayed here for our fist night in Sumatra, and expected it to be a nice, modern hotel of "western" standards. However we were very disappointed to find the hotel was extremely dated, the room and corridor smelt very musty and damp, giving the whole place the feeling that is was not clean. You could not open a window in... More

Perfect location. Clean rooms. International TV channels and free WiFi in rooms. Little old and worn down but still decent. Room service is great and cheap. Food is really good compared to Indonesian standards. Breakfast buffet has everything one would expect.

I growth up in Medan and stay in this hotel for several times, but this is the first time that I paid by myself with other family (20 of us). With less than $45 per night, including breakfast, it is no brainer to stay in this Hotel again. Medan has been flooded with other chain hotel, but no one able... More

The hotel has a very good service but it's room and facilities are pretty dated. It might have been very exclusive at its time but really need to upgrade itself to the current standard. It is located very strategically in the middle of the city 1-2 blocks away from Sun Plaza and the City Hall.

Tiara Hotel is located in the heart of Medan, less than 10 mins from Polonia Airport and next to the Business District. Sun Plaza Mall is a short walk away although we are happy to arrange transportation should you need it.Our guests are primarily business people, however everyone is welcome and we are popular with international tourists as well. We have a reputation for clean rooms, and friendly staff and as such we have many long staying guests. Several of Indonesia's presidents have stayed with us over the years. All food is Halal and currently we are a smoking hotel, although we have non-smoking floors if you prefer.Recently we celebrated our 30th Birthday, so we are an older hotel. Because of this we are slowly renovating the rooms and amenities, and the work should be complete by 2015.
