This holiday in Tangkahan made me and my friends feel like in the jungle. Overthere we stay in bamboo River, and we have so many activity start from Tubing, washing elephant and jungle track. we are so happy and will come there soon with defferent activity...

Don't expect many luxuries. This is a basic but very personable lodge with awesome views of the river and Gunung Leuser National Park jungle fringes. We stayed here for 2 nights during a 12 day tour of North Sumatra and although it might not be as dressed up as some of the other lodges, it definitely felt like you were...

This is a difficult place to trip advise. If one is looking for an experience in the Sumatran Jungle / a basic place to base ones self and an authentic experience then its outstanding - if you hope for comfort and convenience it's not. I doubt one can ever achieve both anyway. The site is 4 hours by car from...

jungle guesthouse - the first one to be al built in Tangkahan in 1997- saving the forest from illegal loggers was the main drive of the owners in the early days and without them Tangkahan would be here today. Wak youn - also know as Black Tiger- sometimes referred to as the mama and papa of T.han for their dogged determination to get the loggers out and put the business aside.
