GENERAL This is a small island resort located just off the coast of North Sulawesi. It is about an hour per car from Manado airport and then half an hour per boat. It is an eco friendly resort that succeeds to give back something to the community as well in the form of special projects at schools as employing local...

We were there specifically to take underwater photographs but to do so from such a super location was a real treat. Completely isolated from the usual tourist trail, it was a perfect haven with excellent facilities for the underwater photographer. They have a number of ongoing environmental projects with tutles and reef protection which they are pleased to show you....

overall we had a lovely stay at Gangga Island. the island itself is beautiful - sandy white beaches with clear blue seas. the accommodation is also lovely and well looked after. BUT we felt the staff need more training, and the island itself needs managing better. given that the resort only had 30 bungalows, we expected to meet the manager...

Trip was actually 2009. I cannot disagree more with Tante -Rini from Nuernberg. We enjoyed our trip SO much that we are returning in a few weeks time. Perhaps she should have read the information first if she expected local cuisine only. The rooms were axactly as you would expect with aircon but you have to accept that the generator...

I read so many good reviews about this place - and was ready for my dream vacation. Beeing really tired and overworked, I thought spending 200 US/night was worth it, to have perfect service and a dream environment.j I wonder if people are really honest with themselves writing reviews. Maybe the idea of having waisted a lot of money and...

I have been to the Gangga Island Resort 3 times. It is simply splendid. The diving off Banka Island, Thalise and Gangga is superb. This place is truly amazing. True the visibility does change but the marine life equals Lembeh Island. When its green you go macro or take a short boat ride to Bunaken. (Lembeh is also close by)....

Who could write a negative review about this place?? Gangga Resort is a gem. The facilities, location, food, staff - everything is perfect. The surrounding areas provide perfect snorkelling with colourful corals and varied sea life. Couldn't ask for more. Go to Gangga!

One of the best resorts I have ever stayed at. The management take care of every single detail that make your stay pleasant and comfortable under any aspect. Rooms are nice, large e absolutely clean, food is also very good and changes all the time. The diving center is well run, the staff pamper you by letting you have your...

“Room 9A was fabulous and one of the closest to the beach front (although all area max 50 steps so this is not a big deal). Lower room numbers are closer to amenities and in hindsight this would have been helpful. Forgot something before diving and had to run back to the room could take >10 mins round trip!”

“All on the beach front are the best, the lower the number the closer to the restaurant you are but even the last ones are only a five minute walk to reception, bar and restaurant”
