It took me some time to review our stay in Gangga Island Resort. Even though it’s 8 month ago when we spent ten days on Gangga Island, its magic is still very present. Actually it was one of our most beautiful family holidays in this hidden gem, far away from all the beaten tracks of European exotic holiday cliches. In...

We had a seven day stay and enjoyed each day. We were sad to leave after such good effort from staff attending to our needs. The food was varied and delicious. This was a diving holiday for us and sort of combined the best of reef and muck diving that this area of Indonesia is known for. We would return....

My first impressions were great as the Island looks like a Maldivian island from circa 1990s, ie simple bungalows and a beautiful white sand beach. However on closer inspection the resort looked really tired and was in need of a bit of maintenance. I was there primarily to dive and the dive operation was as expected, with two tank dive...

Very nice little island. Big place of a resort. Well managed. Good food and accommodations; excellent service all round; so problems are quickly fixed. Dives sites are decent at best. Strong currents at times ... Not easy for muck photo taking. Overall, a pleasant stay.

We had high expectations of a beautiful island resort- great food, great diving, happy staff etc etc. unfortunately, non of this came to be. The resort is nice-but- tired- all the ceiling fans in the dining area (and rooms)have melted, so the blades all are sagging down and they no longer move air- the dining room gets very warm and...

It was 3 years since we last visited Gangga and we wondered how much it might have changed during this time but we needn't have worried as although there had been changes in both the resort and dive centre management the same high level of service has been maintained. The resort is beautiful with the villas located on the white...

“Room 9A was fabulous and one of the closest to the beach front (although all area max 50 steps so this is not a big deal). Lower room numbers are closer to amenities and in hindsight this would have been helpful. Forgot something before diving and had to run back to the room could take >10 mins round trip!”

“All on the beach front are the best, the lower the number the closer to the restaurant you are but even the last ones are only a five minute walk to reception, bar and restaurant”
