The Best part of Surabaya Trip. Pros :- -Most importantly the staff is able to communicate in English, which is very rare in Surabaya as its a growing city and people hardly speak other than there native language. -it has 3 restaurants, breakfast is served in Indigo and is really nice, with lots of options to choose from. Staff was...

We had a wonderful two-night stay at this flagship of heritage hospitality in Asia. We stayed in a executive suite located on a second floor. Majapahit Hotel, sorry for the cliche, is a place with a strong identity. It is worth reading a bit about its history. Yes furniture in this hotel is really classic (yet not dated), and so...

Historically the Majapahit was one of the grand old hotels of east Asia, and thankfully the modern version does justice to its former glory. This is a beautiful hotel, which oozes the elegant charm of its yesteryear. It sits comfortably in the same bracket as some of the other great restored hotels around the region, such as Raffles in Singapore,...

Thanks for your great review. We are glad to read that you felt the weight of Majapahit's historical past during your stay. Why don't you try Suite 33 next time? Suite 33 was also occupied by Charlie Chaplin when he inaugurated the hotel extension in 1936. A historical hotel indeed... George Hazard / General Manager

The hotel was quiet, peaceful and felt pristine clean after three days on a super dusty road trip to visit two volcanos. We needed this hotel badly! Loved the green expansive manicured lawn. It was a pleasure walking the grounds. We booked an executive suite, which easily accommodated the three of us. My friends enjoyed a soak in the jacuzzi...

If you have a choice where to stay in Surabaya make this place the choice. Staff are excellent, the rooms are large roomy and very comfortable and the breakfasts are very good. Perhaps two small downsides .. The hotel is a short distance from the shopping mall and it is not an easy walk and the pool area could do...

This is a very beautiful and well maintained historical hotel in Surabaya! Our stay for a few nights in the Executive Suite has been memorable! The design is classic, very majestically grand, and will somehow bring you back to those old era of grandness with its historical feel! We love the lobby, the garden area, the swimming pool, the gym...

The Majapahit is my idea of perfection. It is certainly a Grand Hotel with a special history from the birth of Indonesia. The architecture is classical with a great interior and fantastic period furniture and pictures. The gardens are outstanding and beautifully manicured. I wish their gardener would come and care for my lawn. The only place that matches it...

We stayed in Majapahit for two nights after a hectic & tiring trip from Mount Bromo. The hotel building looks old & decrepit from the outside, however don't be deceived. Inside is an oasis of calm & tranquility (a big respite from this big, busy city) & has an extensive & well-maintained gardens & courtyards. The hotel has a colorful...

Grand old lady of an hotel - beautiful public areas to walk around and manicured gardens - also had a lovely room - with a great marble bathroom - quite old fashioned but that's what gives the place character.
