We were planning to stay in probolinggo, but was recommended this hotel by our rental driver as it is nearer to Bromo from Malang rather than going tru Probolinggo. The hotel room is great, warm and hot water was working properly. Cannot see Bromo but has good view during breakfast. Breakfast was basic but adequate. There is a nearby warung...

After a 1 Am trek to Ijen lake, we drove down to Tosari for our second leg of the tour to Bromo. The hotel is really pretty and located right in the center of a pretty town with lot of friendly locals. Amazed by the fact that everyone watches Indian serials (right from most remotest towns) and they were very...

Ancala Inn is a relatively basic place to stay for the night before visiting Mount Bromo in the next morning. Simple room with clean beds and toilet. The view is very good as the inn is high up and hence unblocked. We had fried rice (nasi goreng) for breakfast and it was ok, considering we were quite hungry after our...

I stayed here for 2 days during my trip to Bromo for Bromo Marathon in 2013. The hotel is clean, the location is very good, just walking distance to Tosari market where I can find some restaurant "warung" for dinner. The hotel provide Indonesia breakfast such as fried rice "nasi goreng" and noodle with fried eggs, banana and chips. The...

As most of the visitors we stay in Ancale Inn for 1 night to see the Bromo sunset. The hotel has no restaurant, but serves a basic breakfast when coming back from Bromo. Our guide took us to a family-restaurant in the village where we had a typical Indonesian meal. The room was small but clean and the staff was...

Looking at the other reviews we were a little surprised to find this hotel to be much better than expected! The rooms were clean and comfortable - nothing outstanding but better than expected. Bathroom was fine and the breakfast was simple but ok. We enjoyed our night there and its located in a nice little village with friendly locals.

The room & bathroom were pretty dirty. There wasn't even a bedsheet so we had to sleep under the same cover as everyone else does and this is disgusting if you haven't brought your pyjamas. The smell in the bathroom is awfull, smells like open sewer. The (breakfast) staff is unfriendly, you really feel unwelcome. It is a pitty because...
