We stayed in this hotel for two nights for a business meeting. However, we stayed in two different rooms each night because the rooms were fully booked toward the end of the year. In the first night we stayed in a superior room. It was a compact room with cold air condition, well functioned amenities (including internet connection) and shower only bathroom (strong showering water). The only drawbacks were I got twin beds, which I had to put them close together to make them more like of a king size bed, and the room was not located in the main tower, so we had to walk a little to have breakfast and to go to the meeting room. In the second night, we moved to premier room, which was bigger, especially the bathroom because it had a bath tub, and was located in the main tower. In addition to twin beds, my complain was the air condition, which was not as cold as in the superior room. We had a chance to have breakfast and lunch in two days of our meeting. The dining area for both was considered big . The breakfast offered plentiful dishes, but I noticed that the local foods were tasted better than the international and common hotel foods. I liked, for example, various lodeh provided for breakfast. Even the dining area was that big, it was still very crowded with guests during breakfast time that made us rather uncomfortable for dining. The lunch provided much less choices compared to breakfast, with similar food characters. The meeting room was big as well with all amenities functioned very well. The snacks for coffee breaks were mostly okay. The hotel itself was actually strategically located, not far from the city center, mall and popular cafes, but the traffic was incomprehensible. Short distance of less than 10 kms could take up to one hour. The hotel services were mostly responsive and helpful.

We traveled as a family with one small child in January 2020.
Location The hotel is centrally located in the middle of Bandung, but due to the recent change in Bandung's traffic arrangement, you'll need to take a long detour to reach this hotel from the Old Town.
Check In We arrived at the hotel around 10pm and was promptly given 1 keycard to our room. If you'd like a 2nd keycard, be prepared to hand a deposit of IDR 50,000.
Room We booked the Deluxe 1 King room, which was advertised as a 27m2 room, but the room we were assigned to was just 24m2, which felt a bit tight. The sofa had quite a lot of stain on it, which was gross. When all the lights were turned off, there was a light that blinked very brightly like a lightning every 30 seconds or so, disrupting my sleep. The hotel finally sent an engineer to fix that after we called them, but I ended up sleeping later than I should've.
Shower & Toilet Water pressure was quite good, but there's only warm water at best (hot water doesn't get hot). The seating on the toilet was already shaking, so you can get injured if you're not careful.
Breakfast Breakfast had many selection including traditional food and krupuk. Food quality was standard though, nothing fancy. Service in the restaurant was good, as the server took empty plates quite frequently.
Kids The hotel has a mini zoo, rock climbing for children, swimming pool, and sand play, which was very enjoyable for little kids.
Bottom Line Not sure if the price paid is worth it, as the room is tight and the hardware a bit gross. The service is quite good, but if you're looking for a hotel mainly for resting. this hotel is failing.

Grand Tjokro is kids friendly hotel. They have different activities for kids, i.e, mini playground, mini zoo, slider on the kids pool, catching fish, etc but some are not for free. The food are good and they serve many variety of foods. I stayed at 3rd floor but the sound from Meeting/Ballroom at 2nd floor can be heard from my room and it was quite disturbing :( I called the front office and they just informed what time the event will be stop. The noise was pretty loud. I also experienced couple electricity blackout too while i stay and no compesation at all :( You have to deposit IDR 50,000 for a backup key (while some hotel doesnt need deposit for backup key).

One thing I will remember about this hotel is the fantastic breakfast, many kinds of food and they indeed tasted great as well! My room was big with a bathtub, but my A/C was not working well, it was hot. They had a mini zoo (with extra cost) which was a great one with many kinds of animals you can interact with. But, I didn't like the location, the traffic was horrible only to get there, it wasted my time. The room lights were very poor, too dark. You guys should do better with the cleanliness of the hotel too. The street was noisy as it was one of the busiest street in Bandung, so you can't really have a good sleep. Thank you.
