Angel House Ubud is a nice, small place for people that love it quite and in contact with the locals. It is in the middle of the village Mas and can not be reached directly by car: you need to walk the last 100 meters. The 3 rooms are lovingly designed and decorated. There is a community room for breakfast and a small swimming pool. For us -with two teenage kids that want to have both their own room- it was ideal. Single travelers will find fast contact and coffee lovers are well served one of the best coffees here in the nearby Tonyraka Lounge. Thank you, we come again!
We keep coming back for a reason and it was great to see the staff took the time during Covid to keep the place well maintained and fully rebuilt our favorite room, the lumbung suite. Heaps of shops and galleries are back open and found some great new venues nearby including biji world restaurant/live music venue that has to be seen to be believed. Will be back to angel house with out a doubt Highly recommend
Room and garden are amazing Really lovely bedroom and veranda and free unlimited drinking water They also do wonderful vegan food Staff are super friendly are cook an awesome breakfast 100% will be back Highly recommend
If you need a little rest or a quiet place, you need to get there! It is so cool and relaxing! The maids were also very friendly and help you with everything! Also, the breakfast they prepared is really delicious! They can rent you scooters too! Everything you need is there. So go and book your vacation there ???
Cosy, elegantly designed, & very comfortable are how I would describe this wonderful BnB.. The hosts, Annie & Rod, are very warm, welcoming people who made me feel absolutely at home. And they are very knowledgeable about the local culture. I couldn't recommend this place more highly. The staff is also very kind, friendly & helpful. It's less than a 10 mins ride from Ubud center & is very convenient.
Angel House Ubud is now open for bookings after being off limits (Covid) March to Dec 2020. I came across this lovely boutique resort on a FB site and promised myself that after arriving in Bali and quarantining, I would treat myself and explore Ubud. Angel House is in the village of Mas, and with a friend I booked 3 nights mid-April 2021, and ended up staying extra. I will def make this my regular mini-break from here on, as it was such a comfortable and relaxed stay. Annie & husband Rod are Australian but speak fluent Bahasa. They and their Indonesian staff couldn’t do enough for us in the Jepun and Sandat rooms, which directly overlook the pool. Both rooms were exceptionally clean, with attention to detail. All rooms equipped with tea/coffee/water/mozzie spray/sun cream. No fridge in the room but no issues as there is a large fridge for guest use in the bale, a few steps away which is stocked with beers, mixers and soft drinks. I requested fresh milk for morning coffee and it was replaced every morning. We bought wine/cheese for nibbles and popped it in the fridge. Help yourself to what’s there, leave the empties and pay for your selections upon departure. So convenient. We took advantage of Annie’s wonderful organic breakfast (she will send you the menu on offer at the time, as is all made fresh by her and staff on the premises). We had a great massage with Komang for only IDR 100,000. We engaged Pak Kadek to take us to visit a couple of beautiful spots nearby (D’Alus Warang in Tegallalung for lunch then the stunning Tegenungan Waterfall). Kedak is so friendly and just ask him to stop anywhere you wish, he’s a great asset to have on board. Mas is just outside Ubud but a great spot. Plenty of choices to eat in walking distance (even tho a lot are still closed due to Covid). Ubud Central is a short Gojek ride, and the amazing Chepung Sebali resort w/its Jungle Fish bar and amazing pool/surrounds abt 20 mins by car or AUD$6.00 o/way Gojek. Go for the experience and 2 for 1 cocktails. Angel House boutique eco resort should be at the top of your list. Overseas or local, you will love Annie’s hospitality. Her involvement with the local community gives you an insight into the Balinese culture and there is a willingness to provide a fabulous holiday with personal service. 5 stars absolutely. See you again soon, Annie! Helen and Cheryl…
This was my first time traveling alone to a different country. I was 19. It could have been scary but the friendly faces at Angel House Ubud welcomed me with open arms. They were so kind and went out of their way to give me advice or directions. The breakfast was delicious! I felt so safe. I even met some awesome Australians and learned new words lol. Such amazing memories. Thank you!! They live up to their name - Angels 💛💛💛💛💛💛
Stayed at Angel House for 3 nights in March 2020. Was a great stay, from Comfy bed, clean room, well kept gardens and cool pool area. The staff were very attentive and the freshly cooked breakfast was amazing. Thank you for a great stay, will be back.
I was welcomed back to Angel House by the same kind, caring staff I waved good bye to 12 months previously. After welcome drinks, I was shown to my gorgeous room ( Jepun) with its huge king sized bed, welcome fruit basket, floral arrangements and to top it off a fabulous calico shopping bag. Angel House consists of 3 well appointed Villa rooms surrounded by lush tropical gardens and a very well maintained pool. Staff are extraordinarily helpful in booking trips, telling you about hidden gems around the area and always have smiles. Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is a selection from 5 courses, you can have as much or as little as you want, in the dining room. Or you can make the choice to eat outside. There is also free wifi with a terrific signal available to all guests. From Angel House its a short walk to many local warnings, wood carvers and there is also a map for a self guided walk along the river and local village. I have stayed her 3 times and will look forward to returning, why do I stay here so regularly you might ask? Simple, I am immersed in local culture, Ubud is a short 15 minute drive, its quiet, there is a well appointed guest kitchen, a great tip off point for day trips to temples and attractions. Staff recycle rubbish and encourage the non use of plastics. The main reason would be the standard of accomodation, the staff and the beautiful surrounds.…
When I arrived at Angel House I had an eye infection. The host was very kind and immediately got on her motor bike and went straight to the hospital to get me some eye drops which I really appreciated. My eye started clearing up the next day. The villas are situated in a very lush beautiful garden surrounding a pool. The room had everything we needed and very tastefully furnished in an Indonesian style. We had 2 single beds which were extremely comfortable and was offered a pillow menu if we wished to change our pillows. The room included air con and a fan which were more than adequate. The villa was very quiet which appealed to us as we were looking for a quiet restful stay.We were either able to make ourselves a hot tea/coffee in our room or in another area near the pool which also had a fridge with drinks etc and seating to relax. There is an extensive library if one is short of something to read. .The breakfast was amazing and included a huge variety to choose from including Indonesian favourites eg. black rice with coconut and pandan pancakes which were delicious. The staff even make the sourdough bread which is as good as my local baker in St Kilda Melbourne. This area has quite a few very good restaurants including a new one called Tony Raka(also an Art Gallery) where we ate twice. We found a great little coffee shop nearby which was as good as Melbourne and cost 22,000 Rupiah which is very cheap.Hence we visited every day. We also ate at a couple of the Warungs which had fabulous Indonesian food.We were invited by the host/staff to attend a Mas Community Village Walk to help clean up rubbish(the children did this) followed by aerobics which included an instructor from the village.I did attempt the aerobics for a short time. The staff were very kind, gracious and helpful.Room was exceptionally clean and serviced each day.My friend and I had 2 massages each during our short 3 day stay. Rusma came to the house and we were able to relax in the comfort of our room as she had a portable massage table. She was very experienced and has worked overseas as a therapist. The massage was amazing and I highly recommend Rusma. All the staff speak English which is helpful. Volle and Maureen Feb 2020…
