Top resort. Surrounded by jungle and ricefields. The villa's are clean and comfortable with a great private pool. The restaurant serves delicious meals. We had a wonderful massage given by Mini. Thanks to the owner Pak Bagus, mrs Dian, and the whole staff for the amazing days.
I have to say that this is one of the nicest places I have stayed in any country that I have been to. The room was excellent; a very spacious room with a comfortable bed with nice firm pillows which overall made for an excellent night's sleep. There was abundant storage space, blinds to keep flies out, a decent sized fridge & freezer to store any food. Cannot fault this room. The bathroom was also perfect; the toilet, sinks bath/shower and outdoor shower were all quality products. Plenty of clean towels and storage space. The kitchen area was great for cooking on and washing up. Spacious area. The pool was nice and large, also private. Water was very cool and refreshing so perfect for a morning swim to wake yourself up with each day. The service received was faultless. Every single member of staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. If you needed something (e.g. extra chair/towels) you had it within minutes. You can contact the reception desk on whatsapp so no need to even need your room to ask for something - can also order breakfast this way! The cleaning of the room & pool is done swiftly yet also professionally. Watched them do it one day when we asked them to do it at a set time, they came right on time and were very professional. We only had the breakfasts here, but they were amazing! Tried each breakfast option they had and the indonesian porridge is a must have. 10/10 for this place, I would certainly be very happy to stay there again.…
Thank you Sri for your hospitality. We enjoyed our honeymoon stay at Griya Shanti. Everything was good. The food was good, more than enough place for two people in one Villa and very comfortable beds.
Very Enjoyable and Great Value for Money! We liked that our one-bedroom private pool villa was open, comfortable, had good view and was close to nature. The staff, Parwati, Sri, Wayan, Kadek and others were very accommodating and friendly. They easily helped with our tours and transport throughout our stay. On our last night, we had a in-house Balinese dinner which was excellent. It would certainly be worth staying there again.
Wow what a place ! You couldn’t ask for a better base to experience the real Bali, the villas are 10 minutes from Ubud Center (by the free hotel shuttle) but right on the edge of the jungle ! Amazing for watching nature at work! The villas are quite/spacious within the most spectacular surroundings! But most importantly the team at the Griya Shanti are amazing ! They couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a great stay, always helpful and on hand with advice or local knowledge to help us on our way, you will leave feeling like you have friends for life ! Or we certainly did ! We will defiantly be beck again :-) Dan & David
We've stayed in the two room villa (the one named Tunjung), with the pool and semi open dining/ kitchen area. Positives: amazing friendly and quite efficient front desk and housekeeping staff! Big shout out for Lucky and Ibu Putu, as well as Ngurah. Now to the negatives: huge minus to the cook - absolutely inexperienced in cooking any other foods, but the traditional Balinese fare.. Hence, we only had no other choice but to order via Grab food as well as walk over to Uname, which was rather good! All in all, mixed feelings about whether we'll at all choose to stay in Griya Shanti villas. Most probably not.
We enjoyed our time there. The staff was friendly and helpful. The two bedroom villa has plenty of space for all four of us. The pool was especially nice as our kids enjoyed it tremendously after touring and walking about all day. The food there was adequate although breakfast could use improvement as it was very basic and took a long time.
Stayed here for 5 nights. Staff are wonderful and go above and beyond for you. The villa itself wasn't anything amazing and was a little dirty and aging. it was over two floors with the bedroom upstairs and pool downstairs, kitchen/fridge which was a bit annoying. There was also construction happening in the valley below and it was very loud and not very relaxing. the owner said if we wanted he would call them at times and ask them to stop- they are building a community project , so I felt like a jerk buutttt I go on holiday once a year and the noise was bothersum and it was allllllllll day - even when having a massage in the "spa". it would of been nice to have been given a discounted rate because of this or mentioned at time of booking. The food is absolutely terrible- seriously- im not fussy but it was BAD! as the villa is about 15 minute DRIVE from the main centre you are forced to leave the villa for food as it really was that bad. No ubers, gojeks etc are allowed so the villa provided a shuttle for us. if you wanted to use it outside of the schedule it was an extra 100,000. AUD $10. the "spa" was pretty old and not that nice. For us we would not return as the location and the villa itself is not what we are looking for. Again customer service was wonderful and I hope this review Is taken as its meant - just an honest writing of my experience. thank you all and I wish you great luck for your future!…
We had a wonderful villa with private pool, the customer service is simply unbeatable. Great stay and very close to Ubud. Massage service was also excellent. If you stay more than 5 nights you get a free of charge dinner and transport to the airport or next destination. Will repeat!
Lovely Villa very peaceful setting, away from craziness of Ubud. They have a very frequent shuttle to run you into town (15 mins)or you can call and they will pick you up for a small charge. Staff were delightful and wonderful breakfast. If I had to say anything negative possibly towels were a bit thin but really 10/10
