This is our second visit to Dwaraka Villas and it was even better than before. We had a pool villa overlooking the rice field. Couldn’t believe just how beautiful it was. The hotel grounds and pools are so beautiful. It’s a boutique hotel and never feels busy. The staff are fantastic and so friendly and accommodating. Book direct and look at the packages they offer. The location is perfect and the hotel run a free shuttle bus to the centre. Totally amazing stay. Little piece of heaven. Can’t wait to return.
It’s my first trip to Bali and traveled solo. While the island has a great reputation for solo female travelers, Dwaraka definitely is the ideal place for any gal to unwind and feel safe and secure. The resort undoubtedly is one of the most beautiful and amazing resorts I’ve ever stayed in. Helpful and friendly staff, immaculately clean, beautiful decor of Balinese artistry, wonderful yummy restaurant, Dwaraka had everything that makes it a perfect place to stay in Ubud. Moreover, it is in an ideal location outside the hustle and bustle of the centre. I will definitely return.
My and wife stayed at Dwaraka for four nights. We don't think we are ever going to forget our stay. There's something magical about the place. It all starts with the Rice Field View Pool Villa, which transports you into another world. The entrance - through an antiquated rustic door - almost feels like some sort of a portal. Once inside, imagine waking up around sunrise with an expanse of verdant rice fields right in front of you. Imagine being greeted by the sound of cranes, paddy-birds and other flying friends. Imagine a pool with hibiscus ,frangipani flowers and passion fruit that have dropped overnight from trees in the villa. The interior of the villa is a study in design. While there is every modern convenience that one could wish for, the vibe is old-world. The paintings and the woodwork fill the space with joy. I was very surprised to discover that the toilet is open to nature (there is also an option to bathe outside the bathroom). However, there is complete privacy and the place is very quiet. The sights at night were fantastic too. We saw fireflies floating around the rice fields and a very clear southern sky (with the Centauri twins in attendance). The villa is a really wonderful result of great location, an impeccable eye for design and a desire to embrace nature. It's just such an amazing feeling to stay in a place like that ! Apart from the villa itself, what stood out was the customer service. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to make guests comfortable. We had a lovely time interacting with them - whether it was asking for advice at the front desk, having breakfast at the restaurant upstairs or housekeeping. Isn't it always a pleasure to see smiling faces ?! The quality of F&B was very good. We liked whatever we had at the restaurant - whether it was for breakfast or for other meals. Since it is a small hotel, they don't have the variety in menu that one would find in larger hotels. However, as mentioned before, they hit the mark on quality. We can still taste the nasi goreng ! Service at the restaurant was superlative. There's an excellent spa as well in the hotel. My wife had a traditional Balinese treatment done and loved it. There's beauty and art at every nook and corner on the grounds. Dwaraka's design theme, as such, is based on the life of Lord Krishna. While the villas have small individual pools, there's a couple of large swimming pools that are accessible to all guests. We also had the opportunity to take a look at their presidential villa. It is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and well worth the price if a large family is travelling together. The hotel also offers complimentary shuttle services to Ubud Palace and back. This can be scheduled anytime before 2200 hrs and really comes in handy. Overall, Dwaraka is a hidden gem. The pool villas are special. The people are special. The place offers really good value for money. And, more importantly, it reminds you of that little boy or girl who's still there, somewhere, deep inside. We loved being there and can't wait for another opportunity to go back.…
Feels very Balinese, the staff is so so so warm, the breakfast was fantastic, the greens and the pool view was stunning! I stayed for 4 nights and it really felt like home. I definitely recommend it to everyone! It's great for family visit or even for solo workation.
Extremely friendly staff, very good breakfast and food in general, very good location. We stayed 5 nights in a villa with private pool and was great. If one day I come back to Ubudd definitely would choose Dwaraka Royal Villages again, very recomendable.
It's 4 of us staying in 2 bedroom villa with private pools. We are very happy to choose Dwaraka as our place to stay for 3 days 2 night. We are very happy that the room is clean, no need to worries about drink water because they provide 1 water gallon in each floor. The TV is smart TV there's netflix for free to watch. The pool water is so fresh can't feel the chlorine smell. The's a shuttle to go to ubud center and the location is not too far to ubud center. For the breakfast just choose American breakfast for Indonesian breakfast need to improve the taste. Overall is very good, we are happy to stay there.
We spent a wonderful 4 days at The Dwaraka. The room was gorgeous with wooden panels, a luxurious bathroom and outdoor showers to accompany the private pool. The hotel provided a water dispenser and flasks to take water out rather than adding to the mountain of single use plastic and the toiletries were topped up in lovely pottery containers. The breakfasts were delicious and freshly cooked including fresh smoothies and individually made coffees. Everyone was so helpful and there were numerous shuttles into the city as well as our own phone so that we could call when we needed picking up. Everyone was so helpful and thoughtful. We had a wonderful outing with Gin who was helpful, informative and great company. The hotel really does deserve its reputation as a boutique hotel - thank you.…
Dwaraka The Royal Villas are a self-contained complex where the sound of flowing water, the coolness of verdant garden paths and attention to detail was like a balm to our weary souls. It started with the offer of a delicious green fruit juice at check-in. The bedroom was huge, as were the bathroom and shower. There was a fruit platter in front of the sofa, with creamy Balinese passionfruits, bananas and other local fruits I don't know the names of. Got used to the bugs that accumulate on the floor by the end of day (they are swept up by room service in the mornings), Came to expect a scared little gecko flit behind the toilet when we turned on the light - all part of the Bali experience. Stepped into the secluded courtyard with bath and second shower set amid lush plants. But we spent most of our time in the infinity pool (with another shower nearby). Lots of room to move and while away a day - or three. We watched the sun rise and set over fields and tall slender trees sway in the breeze. Took up the concierge's suggestion to stroll around the hotel's own temple. Went for a massage, and enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the restaurant (the food is very good), Asked reception for advice on what to do in Ubud, but it was kind of hard to pull ourselves away from Dwaraka! The service is top-notch, and the provision of a mobile phone, so we could call for a ride back to the villas, was handy. Thank you Dwaraka for creating a special experience.…
Most beautiful villa in Ubud with private pool, the hotel has beautiful installations, very good breakfast, overall great experience! There was a problem with odor in one of the bathrooms but they accommodated my kids in another room with no problem
We recently stayed at the Dawaraka Royal Villas and totally enjoyed our experience. The staff is professional and warm — they laughed at all of my husband’s corny jokes and anticipated our every need. The food, the spa, the pool and grounds, and the room and amenities were all outstanding. We hope to return some day.
