⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Resort that Made Me Fall in Love with Bali. I had a wonderful stay at the resort. The staff was also professional and excellent in providing services and assistance in everything. I also did not forget the restaurant that offers you a unique taste experience with a dreamy view. It was really a dream come true and an unforgettable memory. Stayed at the Kayon Resort with family as we set it as our base for Ubud sightseeing. Bali hospitality and service is second to none - this resort is no exception. Well situated in Ubud and it’s definitely one of the fancier places in the area. Ubud is touristy but not fancy as it is the cultural center so it has many locals around. You still need to get rides to get to places such as the Ubud palace, Monkey Sanctuary, rice fields, etc. Should hire daily drivers - we found ours from the cab from the airport. Food was good and reasonably priced. Did the pool breakfast with the wife. Infinity pool is lovely. There is a daily 40 minute hike to the local rice fields. It was a pleasant but not an easy walk - if you have issues walking you shouldn’t do it. It’s a semi hike. It takes about 2-3 hours with traffic to get from the airport to the hotel. Ubud roads are very narrow, dated and filled with cars and scooters. So many scooters (especially by tourists and kids…not a good combination imo) makes the traffic impossible. Biggest complaint about the hotel is bugs. Ubud is in the middle of a jungle so I accept that we will have little critters crawling around. Our room was on the lowest floor - but when my wife and friend checked in, it had just rained so LOTS of bugs were in the room. Hotel was nice and cleaned it up and offered free dinner or free massages. If you don’t like bugs, don’t stay in Ubud. No issues of wild monkeys or dogs in the hotel but you see a handful of dogs outside on the roads and monkeys around the sanctuary. Lastly, hotel has lots of stairs - the rooms are located on sub-levels so you need to go downstairs to the room and upstairs to the front desk. It’s not a building, but rather like an upside down building. Overall it was a nice stay in Ubud but would definitely look for a more modern hotel, especially if it’s not in the center of Ubud and would require cabs to get around anyway.…

Thank you for your very detailed and constructive feedback, and overall, we are glad that you are pleased with Balinese hospitality in general. In addition, knowing you love the location of the resort gives us a pleasure. It is located a little bit out of the Ubud city area and has a calming and romantic ambience. At the same time, we also provide shuttle service back and forth to go to the Ubud area based on our schedule daily. The daily morning walk was organized to have our guest go around the village with one of our team members to experience the daily routine of the local Balinese, Balinese houses, some local trees, and everything else that is probably different from where our guest is coming from. It takes about 40 minutes, and so far, it is one of the guests favorite activities. But we are sorry that it was not up to your expectations. The traffic in Bali truly needs to be solved, and it has been a long-standing issue. There are a lot of challenges related to this matter, as does the use of scooters. However, we regret to say sorry; that was truly beyond our control. The resort is built with a well-balanced concept with nature; we are privileged to have the forest around it, and in addition, the sound of the river stream and waterfall is truly relaxing. And most of our customers are coming for We are more into classic, traditional resorts than modern ones. With this surrounding, we appreciate that you are fully aware of some creatures coming from nature, but we are doing whatever is possible to have them under control, with the use of pest control moderately considering the nature. However, this month, at the beginning of the rainy season in Bali, we have a bug called “flying termite,” a transformation of termite with their wing. They are not only at our resort; they are everywhere once they come. They live and fly only for 30 minutes, looking for light. After that, they will fall down without a wing and die. They look for light and fly into it. That way, every time they come, we suggest our guests switch the light, especially at the bacony, and close all the doors and windows. For sure, after 30 minutes, they will be gone. They do not appear in all rainy seasons, but once in a while they show up during rainy seasons, and we never know when. Again, we are deeply sorry that you had that experience. It is not a bug that could possibly harm you, but they are really annoying. They live for just 30 minutes; just look for the light. The Kayon was our first experience of Bali and it was perfect. The venue is stunning! Lush, green and picturesque. We enjoyed a private pool villa and it was divine. The room was clean, comfortable and very private. The resort restaurant has an extensive menu with reasonable prices for 5 star resort. But above all the most memorable part were the staff. They were constantly going above and beyond to make sure you are happy and have everything you need. Thank you Kayon team!

My husband and I came to Bali for our honeymoon and stayed at the Kayon Resort. The service was absolutely exceptional. Housekeeping cleaned our room each day and Susali and his team took great care of us. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and they made sure we had everything we needed during our stay.
