This experience was like stepping back to the 1950's. The room was comfortable with an overhead fan but no air conditioning. Beautiful gardens but the steps could be daunting for anyone with leg issues. A simple breakfast was included in the daily rate and the pool was a great way to cool off in the afternoons. The water pressure in...

Great place. Whilst it's not 100% insect free and so on - and the place could do with a fair bit of repair and decoration - but the price is good and the aspect over the valley lovely The people who run it are a kind family team. I definitely recommended.

The location is excellent, close to town. Great gardens. Pool is small. There are a lot of steps, so if you are not step friendly I would let them know. The beds were comfortable, but the room and mostly the bathroom need a LOT of attention. No glasses are provided, and no daily room clean or fresh towels. We knew...

Spent 16 days here again! Not much change in 9 months! Still in need of serious repair, if you not to worried about detail ie: shower that has very little flow and runs out of water at times as a result of tank fend facilities! Burping and hissing water in the basin! The general feeling of the owners was that...

Our booking at Gustis was very much driven by the location. This was ideal, meaning we were able to walk to the centre of Ubud very easily. However, arriving at Gustis at around 11.30pm following an awful day of travel disruptions we were warmly welcomed in our room by a plethora of ants, mosquito's, geckos etc. The accommodation was very...

The offerings in the restaurant are reasonably priced. The chicken sate was tasty enough. My main suggestion has nothing to do with food, although it may enhance the dining experience (let us hope): a few more lights in the evening would be my tip to the management. Honestly, it is almost impossible to order and eat in the dark. Wasn't...

Gustis Garden Bungalows are like 5 min walk up in an dead end alley with lots of little shops and restaurants. This alley is just next to Starbucks, Ubud Water Palace and the King Palace is on the other corner so the location is very good. In the heart of Ubud. The garden of the bungalows is very beautifull and...

We ate here twice because of the great value vegetarian food. I think we had to ask for just tempe not tofu but we ordered tempe sate with rice and veges. Traditional Balinese surroundings and good service. It wasnt very busy when we were there. The lighting is not great.

the guesthouse is in the middle of ubud but hidden enough that you dont hear the traffic but a little waterfall and have a nice jungle view! the staff was very nice always asking how we are and if everything was okay! the rooms could use a bit remodelling, the towels and sheets were always stained and were smelling a...

this place could do with more staff. don't come here if you're really, really hungry. had to wait 30 mins for my small-ish pepes tuna, which was just okay. not delicious, not bad, but definitely not worth the wait. waiter could not remember the day's specials. the only thing that was going for it was the cheap price.

“Ask for one high up the slope near to the entrance area. They are the best rooms. The one under the breakfast room is shady and dark, but I like the sound of the river going by at night. All have very large terraces with good cane furniture and cushions. The views from the top ones are wonderful.”
