This was my husband's and my 3rd stay in Ubud and we've tended to get further away from the city center each time for some peace and quiet. We found what we were looking for at Taman Rahasia. The entrance was a bit hard to find, but once we began walking down the path into the gardens, we knew we had made the right decision. Leafy, lush, full of flora and fauna of all types, you feel as though you are entering a hidden jungle garden that is privately yours. Everything was perfect from the breakfasts each morning to the comfortable bed at night. We stayed in a deluxe room and enjoyed the outdoor bath and the large terrace each day, and also made time for a dip in the luscious pool which we had to ourselves. The best part for us however, was the spa on site. Over our multi night stay, we explored all day, to return for a "happy hour" spa treatment around 4-5pm, after which we would head back out for dinner. We tried multiple treatments, and each was better than the last. It is about a mile walk to town, but this was perfect for us, and when you walk the other direction out of the property, you immediately find yourself in a lush landscape of raised pathways between rice paddies as far as the eye can see, taking you back to the old days of Ubud before all of the over-development. I hope to come back here and see many of the same landscapes preserved in the future! Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay.

I am so happy I found this place. The customer service was incredible anything you wanted they got for you. The food they made for breakfast was yum I'm normally a very fussy eater but they had me clearing my plate. The room was so clean and beautiful. The spa treatment we got was amazing and super professional.

We loved staying at Taman Rahasia. It is a small, family-owned boutique establishment. Our room was spacious and decorated with Balinese furniture, we had a deck to relax on and enjoy the surrounds. It was like a sanctuary, tropical foliage, a large carp pond by the restaurant area, tranquil pool area. The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. There was a selection of breakfasts, which were yummy. The massage therapists were good, we stayed 5 days and had a massage everyday. We used a driver that was recommended by the establishment who took us on some day trips. He was reasonably priced and very helpful. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. We had a wonderful experience staying at Taman Rahasia in Ubud.

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay here. The staff were warm and welcoming and more than happy to help - even ringing our transfer company to our next place for us when they were late. Rooms were traditional Balinese style with a beautiful open bathroom and I was pleasantly surprised that no bugs were in sight! Comfy large bed. Lovely furniture on the balcony to relax on. The pool area was very peaceful and comfortable. We loved the range of plants surrounding all areas. These made you feel in the middle of nowhere despite being close by to everything. Easy walk to the centre - around 20 mins. Quite a few steps to go up on the way back but nothing too strenuous. Definitely take the staffs’ recommendation of walking out the back gate at least once as this leads you to some beautiful rice field scenery. Breakfast did the job and was lovely sitting by the small pond or pool. We loved Ubud - lots of lovely shops and places to eat and a fun, busy atmosphere. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Taman Rahasia is in a great location; we enjoyed the 20 minute walk into Ubud and we liked being close to the paddy fields. The rooms are big and the balcony was a lovely place to relax with comfortable chairs. The bathroom was open to the outside and the shower was powerful. Breakfast was delicious!

Great off the track accom. Feels more like a guesthouse with 8 rooms only, which are large, comfortable with many traditional touches. Great outdoor bathroom. Small pool quite ok for a cool off. Breakfast was made to order and very yummy. Can walk in 20min to Ubud. Loved it...

My friends and I loved everything about the hotel from its looks, cleanness to their amazing services and hospitality. They have everything you need. We took a massage, used the laundry service, rented bikes, asked for pickup, asked for a driver to take us to Seminyak. Everything can be arranged by them for a considerable price. Thanks everyone

We still talk about our experience there, many years later. Go there if you want to live what life is all about. Gentle massage, soft music, amiable attendants. It was my wife’ s birthday and they made it special.

Taman Rahasia Tropical Sanctuary and Spa Taman Rahasia, which translates as Secret Garden, describes this spa perfectly. A short walk from the bustling main street of Ubud, a sanctuary – an oasis – is found within the walls of this abode. Michel, who we found to be a Canadian ex-pat, was an impeccable host. Michel arranged a driver to collect us upon our arrival to Bali. Our room was on the second floor, overlooking the lush green landscape and kites flying high above the clouds. Taman Rahasia is nothing short of a resort at a fraction of the cost. The amenities, décor, ambiance, service and the food were all top-notch. Even the most over-priced item in Indonesia (due to taxation), the beer, was cheaper at Taman Rahasia than at the local restaurants. The Balinese massage at Taman was fabulous and the driver Michel selected for us, Why-Young, kept us enthralled with local sites of interest for several days. If you’re headed to Ubud, we highly recommend a stay at Taman Rahasia and also our driver Why-Young, who displaced all our stress regarding how-to, where-to and when-to visit local attractions. Our visit would not have been as memorable and enjoyable without Taman Rahasia and Why-Young. Thank you Michel, Why-Young!
