The room was very clean and the staff was very kind. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Ubud which makes it super easy to move around. Quiet rooms, sometimes poor wifi, but nice view and a pool. We had the best coconut pancakes for breakfast! All in all a very good experience, apart from the fact that we could not get in touch with the owner before we got there, which was kind of stressful.

We booked in here for 3 nights after leaving another place in Tegallalang earlier than expected. The price was really great at the time on Airbnb (about £22 a night ish) and also the location is pretty amazing too - close to Ubud centre, walking distance from all bars and also walking distance (a good walk) to the Sacred Monkey Forest which is the best monkey forest around as the monkeys have free roam and also there is lots of temples within the forest. The bungalows themselves were nice enough. Comfy beds and basic provisions. Our balcony at #6 was a sun trap on evenings with a great view. The communal pool is also a sun trap in the day and was relaxing enough to chill by. The lads working there were friendly and helpful when required and seemed in good spirits. We got a feeling the place was a little stingy though as they wouldn't ever give us more than two towels at a time even when using the pool. Also seemed reluctant to give much more provisions such as loo roll and we had to ask a couple of times for more as it wasn't replaced when they cleaned in the day . The laundry didn't seem too well done as the towels smelled when we arrived. Shower didn't have a "warm" setting and was either boiling hot or freezing cold. Cups and glasses provided didn't look very clean. COVID-19 was pretty peak last week while we were there so maybe we were being extra fussy. Overall a great little place to roll into whilst being in amongst the heart of Ubud.

We tried to reach the owner for 2 days and there was no response. He was not present at the guest house and his staff was very rude. When we were shown to our room, the bathroom door was broken, attached is an image for this. Since we demanded a refund, he agreed that he will change our room for all of our stay there. When we were away from the guest house the staff has as entered the locked room and removed the luggage from the room without information even though they had our phone number.

What makes this place is the people. The rooms are quite basic but have a bed, shower and little balcony with a table, if you’re out all day and using it as a base you have all you need. Breakfast is available from 730 and brought to your room every day, they come up to you the night before and ask you what you’d like and when. Banana pancake - my favourite! I wanted a taxi one day for a spa trip out of town, this was no trouble and a great driver. If you want trips they can arrange them for you although I’d prebooked mine already. Laundry is available across the street, very cheap on 24 hour turnaround. Centrally located near pharmacy, minimart, bars and restaurants and monkey forest. Small beautiful pool as well. Personal service and everyone remembers your name and fantastic price for location. Pay in cash on arrival - I already knew this so no problem. Also right opposite money exchange if needed. Great service, thank you.

Booked my trip to Bali and came across Budi House Bungalow. This place is located in the center with many selections of restaurants, ubud market, monkey forrest and taxi rides. The place is located off the main busy road, so you don't have to be concerned with foot traffic. The room looks identical to the photos advertised and was clean. Also, the breakfast was delicious each morning. I enjoyed my stay here and the location, made it easy for me to enjoy my activities. If you're a light sleeper, please be aware, the roosters and birds start singing early morning, but it wasn't an issue for me. I enjoyed my stay and the staff was friendly. They will make sure, you're comfortable and enjoy your stay at their location.

We stayed in the top floor room (room 6 i believe) and it couldn't have been any better. The room was very clean, with a very good ac unit, and hot water. Others have said the wifi was weak but I had no problems anywhere in the room or out on the terrace. The people who run the place are very kind and cook a fantastic basic breakfast to get you going. Oh and it's delivered to your room when you want it. The location to the big market is less than 300 yards walk. I'd easily pat double or triple what they are asking.

Old, worn down room and furniture, smelly, dirty including cockroach, terrible mattress. Pool dirty. Bathroom beyond basic, no shade in front of window, so people can look inside. Hawkers walk inside the premise and molest guests (massage, where you go, where you go). I was asked to pay upon arrival and the first thing when i got up in the morning. When i did have a question about laundry, nobody was available or understood anything. Made me not feel welcome at all. Budget yes, but this was bad quality and service.

This was our last place to stay whilst being in Ubud . It was close to everything . The room was clean . I loved the dog that would sit in the sun on the steps after a day out . It really has everything on its door step . The pool is great to wake up to ( .. needs some tiles replacing ) It was great having breakfast bought up to our balcony . Everyone here was really helpful and smiley! It took us under an hour and a half to get to Denpasar airport and we used the hotels driver . The car had aircon and was big . Bring extra luggage with you as there are so many shops and the markets near by to you !
