Coming up that busy road you have no idea what a surprise lies beyond the gate to Ketut's Place..the beautiful & highly decorated special buildings of the family compound, lovely & interesting gardens, different styles of accommodation, relaxing pool area... & then, the views over the ravine!! Wow!! We were in room 16, down a few steps from the pool...

When we checked in, they asked if we want to have an A/C for 8$ extra charge per night. We did not want to pay that much money just to get the remote control for an A/C that is already inside the room, so we just had a fan for the few nights. Of course that was a bit warm,...

So, I recently returned from my adventure to Komodo Islands and Bali after spending almost 3 weeks exploring there. I saw beautiful cliff side sunsets in Uluwatu at the Blue Point Villas & Spa and Temple at Uluwatu. I chased Komodo Dragons and dove with Giant Mantas in Komodo National Park. I stayed in the western opulence of the hotels...

The best thing about Ketut's Place is definitely the grounds. The architecture is incredibly intricate and it is set on a cliff overlooking a river. If you are lucky you can get a room with a view. The rooms were a bit dated which was fine with us and the breakfast was quite basic but it was complimentary so we...

This was our second stay at Ketut's Place. Our family spent a fabulous time in the room just beside the pool. The room was clean and well maintained. The whole traditional Balinese complex is absolutely charming. We love the serenity you immediately feel when sitting in Ketut's wonderful garden. This is really relaxation for body and mind. Taking the breakfast...

Great service although prices for food, drink and massage are at least twice as much as elsewhere and the place needs a little mantenance done. Still great place to stay and very friendly family. If budget is not an issue go for the best room on offer, it has a 50 metre square private balcony with a spectacular view of...

We stayed for 3 nights in the double room. Ketut's place is clean and lovely. Swimming pool was a treat to deal with the heat. Breakfast choices were good (either fruit salad, omelets, toasts, etc). The room we stayed (under the breakfast balcony) was big, clean and with a lovely view to the back garden. No problems with noise at...

The property is small but has a local charm like every other traditional house in Bali.the place looked nice as we had visited it during the onset of monsoon. The hosts were kind and considerate. The place is close to a stream which is quite muddy. Coming to the downside..Yea it is a cheaper place than having to stay at...

Ideal location, not too far away from the city centre but great views of the forest. The delux suite was worth the extra especially breakfast on the balcony. If you are lucky enough to be there for the wonderful family cooked buffet, the best food we tasted in Bali. We were given an introduction to the Balinese way of life...

While Ketut Liyer is best known for the book and movie Eat Love Pray. Many travel to meet him for his reason. Other have found a beautiful and peaceful sanctuary in the place he built here. It's is situated in the village in the midst of the most authentic Bali experience.
