Samhita Garden, set in a pretty landscaped green garden has an envious location. A very short walk away from the shops and cafes of Ubud yet away from all the noise and bustle. My husband and I enjoyed our week long stay at this property. We had a duplex villa by the pool with the upstairs balcony overlooking the jungle and the mountains beyond. There was a little kitchenette for tea and coffee but not much else. The bedroom upstairs had an AC but the living room downstairs had a ceiling fan so we spent much of our time upstairs! The villa was spacious and clean and well looked after and there was daily housekeeping service. The room had a fridge and toiletries and even a sewing kit was provided. Samhita Garden provides a cooked ala carte breakfast with eggs, bacon, fruit and pastries. There are many cafes right outside the gate for other meals. We also found a reasonable laundry next door that did a same day service. There are also money changers and a mini mart right outside. The staff were cheerful and courteous and the hotel arranged our airport pick up. We recommend this hotel for a great stay at Ubud.…
The hotel grounds are beautifully plush with floral and the spacious rooms have comfortable furniture with a bed that made us sleep like babies. Staff is wonderfully friendly and responsible. Breakfast, for people like me who like to eat, can be a little sparse; but my healthy-eating vegan wife would disagree with me. The place is ideally located so you can walk to bars and restaurants and the nighttime noise won't bother you. Added advice: there's a tour/travel agency across the street from Samhita Garden. Avoid them. We made bookings to Gili Meno and this agency was too disorganised. They kept changing times and schedules. There's a TripAdvisor-suppported agency a few doors down. They appear more professional. Overall, Samhita Garden is a wonderful place.
We checked into this hotel after looking at the price and the facilities it had. The toilets were super clean, the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the bed was very comfortable. The only down side for someone who sleeps early is that on weekends there is a bar across the street where a live music performance goes on till 11 pm. The location itself cannot get any better as there’s a 24/7 mart right across and the main market is at a comfortable walking distance.
Extremely convenient to restaurants, bars, Ubud Market, Campuhan Ridge Walk, Monkey Forest Road and much more, this hotel is quietly set in a traditional garden setting. The pool is a reasonable size and was always clean. My room was huge. The bathroom had a shower and a bath. I had problems with the air conditioning unit but this was fixed in a timely manner. Staff at breakfast time were very accommodating to my wishes. I stayed here for a week and would happily come back again.
I stayed at Samhita Garden i Ubud, Bali, for 3 nigths and had a wonderful experience. A very good location in Ubud, in a kind of a big garden with tropical flowers and plants - beautiful and very peaceful. A nice swimming pool and good breakfast with a good service. - The room was very big with also a big and good bathroom and a balcony, sorrounded by green plants and flowers. - The staff is very kind and helpful. I hope to come back!
The location is great, easily to get good food and chilling for cocktail all around the hotel. The staff are very friendly, landscaping is nice with balinese feel & a small clean pool. All are good except the room, spider wax under the bed. No bedroom slipper provided. Sewage smell in the bathroom. The shower bath, hair shampoo & conditioner are in a porcelain container, need to be extra careful not to drop it, and i feel its not hygienic, the container will keep refilling for the next guest, you won't know if the guest earlier has spill anything into it or not. Bring your own bath gel & hair shampoo.
This accommodation, set in beautiful gardens, is so close to the centre of Ubud. Everything within short walk. Set in a cute little lane with many choices of great restaurants and shops. So close but a real getaway feel. A beautiful safe haven to escape into. Friendly, attentive staff, nice breakfast. Great, relaxing way to see central Ubud. You won’t be disappointed staying here :)
There are a large number of hotels to choose from in Ubud. Like a lot of people we made our choice based on price and the pictures on the websites. It was an inspired choice. The hotel is in a great location, just a spit from the main road through Ubud and reasonable walking distance to the market and sacred monkey forest. Yet the place itself is an oasis of quiet in the centre of a crazy busy town. The gardens are lush and well landscaped. The rooms are large; breakfast is excellent. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and well cared for. The best bit was the staff who were pleasant and helpful throughout. No doubt about it we would stay there again if we are back in Ubud.
Good location in walking distant to everything. We booked a villa with private pool..in really good price..room just like a little house very large and nice clean pool.. only thing is the ceiling behind the a/c is leaking and need to repair..but otherwise the a/c is working great keep the large room cool and comfort. Every morning is order to make..hot breakfast which is good. Safe place the worker checks make sure you are a guest there to let you walk into the hotel.. nice garden with birds..highly recommend.
We are regular travellers to Ubud- at least once per year for many years. I chose Samhita Garden, for part of this stay, purely on its location and the fact that we had stayed nearby and walked past the hotel many times in the past. We booked a suite for a four night stay recently and loved it. The one bedroom suite was a stand alone building, near the pool, with living area, kitchen alcove and additional toilet downstairs and bedroom, main ensuite bathroom and balcony upstairs. Loads of space for us, wonderful balcony view and everything we needed. The stairs inside the suite might not suit everyone, but were fine for us. Housekeeping staff did a great job and popped in when we were out and about so they didn't disturb us. We loved the fact that each night staff came around and lit mosquito coils on the balconies. The hot water tended to take a long time to come through, but we got used to that and in such a warm climate, it wasn't a big deal. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and our rooms were clean and well equipped. Check in was efficient and friendly. Breakfast comprised of a choice of fresh juice, fresh fruit, a choice of amazing fresh pastries, toast and spreads, and eggs cooked to your liking with bacon. It was plentiful and lovely- we didn't need anything more. The location is fabulous- walking distance to heaps of restaurants, cafes, shops and attractions. Others have mentioned the sound of the live music from a venue nearby at night, we could hear it, but it didn't worry us at all and didn't go on too late. Our stay was great, we'll certainly be back. Thank you to the friendly staff for making us so welcome.…
