Lovely outlook over a rice field, but central, right off the Monkey Forest Road in Ubud, we really loved Cendana. Beautiful details such as the carved & painted doors to the rooms, mossie-candles on the balcony, four poster bed even in the standard room, and stunning saltwater infinity pool, mean we have to recommend it! Our only complaint is that,...

500k IDR of relaxation. Well located, nice atmosphere, nice swimming pools (2), good breakfasts, rice paddies next to the rooms, very good. Except the thin walls where you hear all, yes all, what your neighbors are doing....

We loved our stay here. Equal walking distance up and down hill. We just 'rocked up' and after getting quotes at about 15 other places chose here. Ubud is getting more and more expensive. If you wanted to be in the heart of it this property is worth it for 2 or 3 nights, i wouldnt want to be here...

I chose this hotel for myself, partner and our son to say whilst in Ubud for 7 days last week(this, following Lonely planets recommendation). Trust me though, you can definitely get a better deal for the price on Monkey Forest Road in a cute little bungalow! After 1 night at this place (we booked for 4) we decided to leave....

My wife, cousin, 20 month old son, and I stayed for 5 nights are were surprised to find this medium/large size resort surrounded by beautiful rice fields right in the middle of one of the busiest parts of Ubud. You get the best of both worlds by being in the middle of everything yet feeling like you are far away...

This is the second time I've stayed at the Cendana in Ubud. The first time was in October 2008 and the price was $USD50 - this time, in October 2010 the price had nearly doubled but the 'Eat, Pray, Love' crown can probably be blamed for that. Still a really nice hotel with beautiful pools. I left some belongings there...

We spent 2 nights here and found it to be very good value. We decided on a standard room after previous recommendations, which although the bathroom was a little dated, was spacious, clean, with lovely traditional Balinese decor. We loved the carved and decorated doors, the view of the rice paddy along with the little touches like a fresh flower...

We booked this hotel based on the comments here in TripAdvisor. We stayed at the Deluxe double which had a beautiful view of the garden, the pool and the rice fields. But had the standard rooms been available we'd have gone for that for half the price. I had my initial peeves-- the reception area needs a lot of work......

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Cendana during our honeymoon in Bali and were very pleased with the value and location of the hotel. It is located right in the heart of Ubud, walkable to everything and very convenient. The hotel itself is set back a bit from the road which keeps it very peaceful and quiet. Our...

I was looking for a moderately priced hotel in a central Ubud position and couldn't have been happier with my choice of hotels - Cendana. Passing through the plain front laneway and reception of the hotel I was delighted, relieved and amazed to see the beautiful aspect at the back of the hotel - a serene infinity pool looking over...
