I won't repeat all the good things that have already been said about Alam Jiwa. What a wonderful experience-it was like my dream of Bali come true. I stayed here as a solo traveler at the beginning of my trip to Bali-Java before I meet my tour group. Making the reservation through their website was easy. They got back to...

I booked this hotel for one night that we had planned to stay in Ubud to celebrate my fiancés birthday. Upon booking they do not take a deposit or get you to pay upfront but don't be put off as we had no problem with the room we had reserved despite of this. We were met upon arrival with a...

This will be a short review because everything has been already said. No need to repeat. This place is Paradise. Away from the hustle and bustle of the Bali beach resorts. Take in the peace and quiet, the magnificent surroundings of the vibrant green rice paddies, the swaying hillside palms (no, this is not a Bintang driven review!) and the...

We booked with Alam Jiwa for our Bali trip and it was everything we had hoped for and more. Our room was amazing with a view of the beautiful property that sits right beside the rice fields and the monkey forest. It is just outside of the main center of Ubud, so away from all the noise and traffic. The...

My wife and I stayed at Alam Jiwa for a week, and I cannot say enough about what an incredible hotel this is. The bungalow was spacious, with a gorgeous patio looking out onto the jungle and rice fields, and you even are looking out onto the rice fields when you take a shower. There is a very nice pool...

This is an amazing, quant place to stay. Absolutely what Bali is about with wonderful comfort. The staff is so warm and welcoming. We stayed on a top floor room and it overlooked the rice fields. The rooms further down are a lot darker and don't have as much of a view but still wonderful.

We stayed in two separate rooms due to the availability of our choice. The first place was the Jatayu Deluxe. Beautiful and comfortable. The garden was lovely. The second was the Merpati room. The view of the rice paddy was amazing. I think the AC in this room was a little more efficient due less air being leaked in &...

We felt at home the moment we entered this small resort. Nicely tucked away from the crowds in Ubud, with some stunning views of the ricefields and village life. We had the Jatayu room which is a nice wooden villa really with a private garden, great veranda and a smashing open air shower. Each day we had to make the...

Alam Jiwah is a very pretty small resort in Ubud, Bali. All the rooms have either terraces looking out over beautiful gardens, or balconies over the rice paddies. I have been here 4 times in the past 12 years and have enjoyed it immensely. The Lady and husband who own it were mentioned in the book "Eat, Pray, Love". They...

This place is consistently excellent and continuously improving - we have loved our 3 visits here and will definitely return. Away from the bustle and crowds of central Ubud but just a short walk past the Monkey Forest into town (or an even shorter free transfer by car), Alam Jiwa is an oasis of calm in a lush and peaceful...
