This place is very accommodating. We checked in late at night, and woke up to lush green and birds in the morning. The room itself was not fancy, but it was enough. Location's great, because you walk out of the hotel premise and walk a bit and you're on the busy Ubud street. It's not so centrally-located that it's constantly filled with people, but it's also not so far that you can't walk to the market. Would recommend if you're on a budget.

Booked for 2 nights , booking was confirmed with booking number and welcome email. Arrive only to find the resort has been closed for some time ( next door neighbor told me ) . A simple email explaining the situation would have been appreciated. No one answered the phone not response to messages and this is a very large resort maybe 80 rooms. Dose not take much to to keep guests informed . Disappointing,

Pertiwi resort and spa is very reasonably priced for what it offers. It has good amenities such as the lovely pool and it’s beautiful grounds. It’s also in a great location, near all the main attractions and within walking distance to central Ubud.

The room I booked (Deluxe Pool-Villa) should have 120squaremeters, but it had even not half of it... ....de description of the room ist definitely absolutely wrong!! The room has by size not much more to offer than a normal room with 40sqm. The guy at the reception told me that just the management can set any action, but they never returned to my complaint - not for 1 week!!! It is absolutely ridiculous. What they offered and sold and what I paid for, was not for what I got!!

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights accompanied by 2 other friends, our room was far away from reception so we always asked for the free buggy transport. On our last day, while going up a hill, the driver lost control of the buggy and it went down in a really fast speed knocking my two friends that were in the back seat to the floor. The buggy crashed a side wall on its way down and thank god it didn’t run over them. The wall was completely destroyed, I cannot imagine what would have happened if it didn’t hit the wall. However, for me that was not the biggest problem. As soon as that happened The driver started complaining that we put him in trouble with his boss because he couldn’t be driving 3 people in the buggy - but that is not our responsibility. We were never told that during any of the days we stayed in the hotel, on the contrary, we always went in 3 on the buggy. A lot of employees came to see how was the buggy and the wall, but none of them asked me and my friends how we were or even said sorry. My two friends that were in the back were severely injured and we had absolutely NO ONE talk to us to ask how they were or apologize. We had to go on our own to treat the injuries in the lobby and left without a word from the manager or the driver. Do not recommend this hotel To no one.

I have just spent 6 nights at Pertiwi Resort with my teenage kids. The room rate was so reasonable I booked two rooms for us so we had a bit of space. While the rooms and bathrooms are a bit dated the location and beautiful gardens and 2 pools made up for this. Lots of great restaurants, some with live music, just steps from Pertiwi. It is about a 10 min walk to the markets in one direction and about the same in the other direction to the Monkey Forest. Breakfast was a buffet with fairly limited choices - it did the job for a hungry teenage boy! Overall for what we paid for the rooms I was happy with Pertiwi and would stay there again.

At the recommendation of one of my friends we booked Pertiwi - a busy place for many travellers. Good price quality relation with average breakfast. What is really bad is the wifi ! The modem should be reboosted to clean all open connections.

Undoubtedly nice resort in the past, kept its charm, needs further renovation. Well located, large property, peaceful, quiet, nice pools, gardens, friendly staff. We booked 3 nights in premium room, only very few guests. Room was fine, airco needed service on arrival but this was quickly and adequately resolved. Nice bed, bit stiff mattress, wifi and lcd worked fine. We had breakfast outside hotel. We hope Pertiwi re-establishes itself to nowadays standards.
